One of the ONLY good moves the City ever made was to contract this out to a knowledgeable company. They've done such a great job that they received Excellence Awards from the US Mayors (I believe Stratton had been the recipient).

WHY, would the City chose to disrupt a system which has saved the taxpayers money and has improved the quality of life for those living near the facility?

It's an expense the taxpayers cannot afford to spend MORE on for a LESS competent City-run enterprise. This doesn't help the taxpayers at all - it just secures 21 more votes to whomever McCarthy promised these jobs to.
