Funniest moment at the big debate was when Gary McCarthy was asked for his most creative idea. After thought he said pension reform! The same "leader" that said he knew nothing about the pension padding scandal. He never saw a tax he didn't want to hike and hasn't got a clue how to get out of the fiscal mess he created.

For those that see no difference Roger Hull who answered first listed 3 creative ideas. Starting the business incubator with Walter Robb {that actually created private sector jobs not hot dog jobs}. Founding Schenectady 2000 not Metroplex were Gary was a bored member and did nothing. Third, having Union spend $26 million on College Park.
What did Gary McCarthy do BEFORE he became a politician?

Schenectady, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 199 – Union President Roger Hull and Price Chopper Supermarkets President and COO Neil Golub were named Schenectady Patroons at a City Hall ceremony on Wednesday afternoon with Schenectady Mayor Albert Jurczynski.
"I can think of no two people more deserving of the Patroon Award than Roger Hull and Neil Golub," the mayor said. "Their names have become synonymous with accomplishment and dedication to improve Schenectady and the lives of its citizens."
Hull and Golub were recognized for being the architects of Schenectady 2000, the community revitalization organization established in 1993. Last year, Schenectady 2000 was successful in establishing the Metroplex Authority, a multi-million dollar economic development initiative to revitalize downtown Schenectady through renovation and new construction projects.
The City's most prestigious award, the Patroon, was established in 1954 by Mayor Archibald C. Wemple. It is awarded to persons who have rendered distinguished service to the city and its visitors. According to the original document by Wemple, "the title will be awarded only to those who, by their deeds, have brought distinction to the City of Schenectady, and to those who, by their presence here in the City of Schenectady, lend dignity and honor to the community."
Other notable Patroons have included Ronald Reagan; Hubert H. Humphrey; Rocky Marciano, former heavyweight boxing champion; Lowell Thomas, famous news commentator during the World War II era; and Tom Constantine, head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

I have a question....how can Gary McFeester say he's part of the "Working together works" group when he also said "he takes a backseat to no one" ? Man is he gonna cry when he is in the "backseat" starting November 9th.

Wow, then why didn't McCarthy work on this BEFORE the budget was to be passed.
McCarthy has done nothing to save the taxpayers money. He doesn't seem able to take a stand and begin to cut the small things (like the freecell phones and city vehicles). If his cell phone cost $800 per year, how many others are out their on the taxpayer dime?
What about the residency requirements? Those haven't even been enforced yet and the city workers are driving to their homes in Scotia, Glenville, Burnt Hills, Clifton Park ..again on the taxpayer dime.
All this waste is just the tip of the fiscal iceberg the City has frozen itself into.
WARNING-Gary McCarthy has another creative idea! A new EMS tax for ripped off City sheeple! Now when you have an emergency and one of your kids needs transport McCarthy will hand you another bill. Thank you working together DEM morons for "creatively" picking our pockets. Taxes in the City aren't high enough now we need a double tax on ambulance services.
