The fact that only DV or one of his alters comes on here to tell you that you are wrong, MC, tends to prove the accuracy of what you are stating. I would like to call out some of the people actively involved with these issues. I notice that the article that appeared in the paper about the true state of Proctor's finances has not had a point-by-point, fact-based, refutation yet. This is what scares me, the people who have their hands on the money ought to be able to tell us, in actual numbers, how well we are doing. If they can't tell us that, what makes them believe it themselves? I can only conclude, from the lack of evidence to the contrary, that they know damn well that they are following a foolish path, but don't care, as it works FOR THEM. I mean, when it reaches the point where you are putting LIES out there, such as the number of houses people are snapping up as the result of some program, how can you keep on telling yourself it is a good idea? I noticed that Golub fixed some of the features in his Eastern Parkway store that customers weren't liking. He couldn't afford not to, if he wants to compete with Shop-Rite. If we Schenectadians were able to take our tax money and hire our own services, we sure as hell would not be getting the lack of services at a high price we get now. |
