kind of odd that folks here are criticizing a woman who built her business up from her basement into a major player. but that just goes to show u the mindset of some here who only wish for the worst in anything.,. kind of sad.. and guess who they supporT: Roger the Dodger.

Better than the shakedown artist. How much is this property going on the tax roll for? lol. Will this property be fully assessed? lol. What is the yearly taxes due? What other tax giveaways did McCheese and Death Ray hand out? No answers but plenty of pom-pom shaking. More nothing from the working together morons. Crony socialism Metrograft style. And the new County home won't cost the taxpayers a penny either-no?

This isn't even an addition of 40 jobs...it's a FUTURE HOPE of jobs. So please don't say that jobs are coming here, because they're not.

This is keeping yet another building off the tax rolls and 'gifting' $40K of the taxpayer money over to a business which could do it on its own.

It's not economic development - it's fiscal mismanagement paid for by the taxpayers.

What is an economic development authority for if they're just giving away property and money? Get a Schenectady High School senior, they'd know better than to give away public property.

The articles only says that she is getting $40,000 of grant money to improve the facade and the building --- it does NOT say that she is getting any kind of property tax break --- so accusations that she is taking a building off of the tax rolls are entirely BOGUS.

1.     Question, WHEN is Metroplex doing to provide money for the financially struggling homeonwers to repair the code violations they have been cited with and get financially penalized as long as they don't correct them?


2.    Correction needed to the story.    Is must say "The taxpayers will provide $40,000 in handouts to help..."

3.    Is this Madison company actually purchasing the former Olender building or just leasing it?  

my guess is they will produce more handbags here and ship them to eager clutchers everywhere. maybe she will penetrate the chinese market with her eco-friendly bags... wonder if they can hold those little dogs.. that is important selling point today
