sure, and Roger can go back to Friends of Farley and ask for some money buxs from his GOP pals. so much for the alliance party not being a shell for GOP interests. and folks, that is why he will lose. because no one wants to go back to the GOP era, when things just went to hell so fast that people could not leave the city soon eonough
if u look at the history, more people LEFT schenenctady, the city lost more jobs, taxea went higher when the GOP was in power, simple truth. why go back to that tragedy?
the voters of schenectady realize this and will vote for a proven team
Yes, more people left the city then because they could still sell their house, they had that luxury. Now with the current rate of the tax structure/fees, people are FORCED to stay here as willing buyers are always stymied by those very high taxes and fees, despite the lowest mortgage rate EVER. Believe it, more would leave now to get out from under the taxes/fees burden if they had that option, just ask them. Why else would there be some 1000+ properties for sale in the city? |

While McCarthy's money came from scared City employees and his buddy Wally of Cardio Mag infamy-Rogers money came from hundreds of supporters all over the country. Not just local developers, Metrograft fat cats and lobs who want to keep bleeding the taxpayers. McCarthy still has exactly $57,000 too? lol. So moronic it's actually funny.
So in a certain roundabout way it seems that our tax $ funds the re-election/election of the Dems. That tax $ goes to the preferred developers for the projects, which in turn frees up extra $ for the devl., which in turn gets donated to the party campaign chest. Could this be true? |

there are no slurs toward mr. golub. he is a fine man.. he is not what one would call an everyday man, however.
Don't know what the definition of an "everyday man" is in regard to Mr. Golub. But 10 years or so ago I was at his market on Eastern Parkway getting a BBQ dinner to go. Mr. Golub was in front of me in line ordering the same. To my surprise he PAID for his meal, opting not to get a freebie. Seems like somewhat of an "everyday kind of guy" in my opinion. |

Candidates' war chests even Two men vying for Schenectady mayor have raised almost same total By LAUREN STANFORTH Staff writer Updated 10:24 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011
SCHENECTADY --- The two men running for mayor this November are in a virtual dead heat in fundraising.
Alliance Party founder and endorsed Republican Roger Hull reported $57,007 in his campaign coffers as of Oct. 3, around $1,000 more than acting Mayor and Democrat Gary McCarthy's $56,009.
The numbers are much lower than the dollars raised during the last competitive mayoral race in 2003, when Democrat Brian U. Stratton narrowly defeated Republican Peter Guidarelli. Near that election's end, Stratton and Guidarelli had approached $200,000 in fundraising between the two of them................>>>>...................>>>>.................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Candidates-war-chests-even-2214694.php#ixzz1aepkTs91

Shhh.. it's called working together. It's called pay to play. Here it passes as monkey business as usual. And one idiot cheers about this like some great accomplishment. Hull's contributors are not all shaken down city employees and developers looking for a public payback. |

in the old days under the republicans, it was called graft..
asked your buddies [ceuvas and brockbank -- who are roger the dodger's legal advisors] about the deals they cut with robertson and his little project at Nott Street, the former Alco site.
He was so corrupt, no one wanted to work with him and therefore the city sunk into the fiscal depression that resulted in the 11 million deficit under Mayor Al, which Stratton fixed, btw.
ah the good old days under the republicans.. let's bring them, back.... |

Without McCarthy, someone might question why City employees continue to use free cell phones paid with taxpayer money. Or, one might question why a City employee who lives in a different town is allowed to use a City purchased and maintained vehicle to commute.
Without McCarthy maybe someone might question the Unions healthcare or pension/retirement benefits.
Someone better start questioning because the taxpayers can't afford it anymore. |

I think we can agree that all government municipalties may have a thread of 'back room deals' running through them...........HOWEVER...........at the end of the day it does benefit 'the greater good'. That has not been the case in schenectady with the present democop reign.
The electorate has a two party system in which to work with. So it would make perfect sense for those disenchanted with those presently in government to be voted out and replaced with new.
One party rule never works no matter what party is in the majority. The electorate needs respectful and equal representation. So hopefully, there will be more of a balance after this next election. imho

Check the financials for working together DEMS for City Council. Oh that's right they don't bother to file any stinking State disclosures. Denise Brucker doesn't know the drill yet after running for re-election for ages? And yeah the media has it pizza pie face. Watch the DEM morons try to back fill another major f*** up. Pass the popcorn. |

Make sure your cable bill is current in the sticks! The Alliance Party media blitz starts tomorrow. Look for your DEM junk mailers lying about job creation and affordable housing in a garbage bin near you. Did you hear about the Savage County Home that don't cost a penny? lol. |
