Quoted Text
The Schenectady County Democratic Committee has amassed more than $88,000 in just three weeks, almost twice as much as it had total before the November elections four years ago -- and several of the donations come from special interests that have done work for Democrats in the city and county.

Looks like the recession doesn't affect Metroplex contractors and the Democrat Party.  Logic might lead you to believe these businesses would be tightening their belts during a recession, and limit the campaign contributions.  But...When your contributions are actually investments into influencing future business for your company, in an effort to get their hands on $100 million in taxpayer money I guess you find the money and actually give MORE.

The next article should look at the businesses that are property tax exempt downtown and where there money is going.

Every election cycle the developers reward the politicians with huge amounts of money as a thank you for all the taxpayer money they were given.

Blanks for the residents in terms of tax relief, high caliber bullets for the connected contractors and politicians in terms of personal enrichment.

This is no big deal. This happens in every community that is run into the ground by a bunch of greedy DEM pigs. Like Harrisburg, PA. Can you say pay to play also called "working together"! In one day the Mercedes McCarthy ad comes out, Goofy falls on his face defending the pension padding on Talk 1300 {while doing his Sgt Schultz impression} and this indictment comes out. Get out of the rough Goofy!

Maybe Gumshoe Gary can investigate the pay to play or the pension padding scandals? Since he was deeply involved in both. Only in Schenectady would he be re-elected to anything.

McCarthy has been caught again with his pay to play. In any other City this would be prohibited. Not Schenectady which is being run into the ground by a pack of DEM fiscal incompetents.

Paul Vandenburg: "So how much does Cornells pay in property taxes?"

Gary McCarthy: Silence...crickets could be heard chirping

The DEMS have padded SO MANY pockets with Metroplex money, the contributions to his campaing pale in comparision. Get $5 million from the Plex, give Gary $500 for his campaign. Don't worry, these are not the people flicking the voter switches.....
