Cornells in in bankruptcy because they did not pay their taxes, their mortgage, their sales tax and the unsecured Metroplex loan (which will most likely be forgiven because the Plex needed to bribe the Gazette head honcho to bail them out...again).

It was a great interview because Vandenburg asked the question NO ONE will answer: Where is the PILOT payment spreadsheet. Where are the numbers, who is paying what. It was never answered, because it probably doesn't exist.

Millionaire's pension??? At least Hull's pension is from a college and not another compounded taxpayer-paid racket McCarthy has going on with his 4 City/County jobs.

McCarthy lied that they are current on their taxes. That's why they are going under the hammer? McCarthy also lied that the problem was school taxes. Like his buddy Linda Bellick loved? No the problem is Gary McCarthy and his DEM morons. He forgets his support for the Citywide reassessment that falsely inflated home prices. Then the connected go to City Council to have their assessment lowered. A bunch of DEM political pigs picking the taxpayers carcass clean.

All this talk about PILOTS but the fact is that they only budgeted about $600000 in them. So if Union doesn't pay them, are the rest coming from all those downtown businesses?

Quail called allegations of pay-for-play "absurd," saying "what Republicans will say is that these people are getting work, that's why they're contributing. I think they are contributing because they like what the Democratic Party is doing," he said. "There are no quid pro quos."

Really? We'd really like to see those bid packages that Ray Gillen/Metroplex hands out. We'd like to see who the low bidder REALLY is!

No quid pro quo?? Get real!

The more feathers are ruffled the better. Paul Vandenburg yesterday point blank asked for the PILOT amounts paid by the Downtown businesses. As Benny would say, "Nobody knows nuthin"....well, somebody better start getting some financials ready sooner than later......

Especially when it comes to Gary McCarthy participating in pension padding. He didn't see it. He never heard about it. Gary McCarthy was shocked SHOCKED to find out about it in a budget he voted for. Fiscal incompetent doesn't cover it. Flush McCarthy 2012.
