Ms. Marco has not been on the town board in 6 years -- I hardly think she knew then that she would be running for the office of Town Clerk in 2011.

And at her young age, what is the last position that she held that was not paid out of taxpayer money?  Just wondering what her "field of excellence" was before getting into politics permanently.

She worked full-time in the private sector ....

and what is the last position (or how many of his pensions are NOT funded by taxpayer dollars)  that Hugh Farley held that wasn't paid out of taxpayer money ........

how aout McGarry -- his job s taxpayer funded.

And how did I vote in the last election when Hugh Farley was running?  You don't know, do you? Then, I guess you might as well shut off that conversation.  I bet we could have a nice little conversation between Hugh Farley and Paul Tonko as far as who had a non-taxpayer funded job last.

And as far as McGarry's job, he's got a couple, and the on that is taxpayer funded, the taxpayers actually get to VOTE on his salary, unlike others, look it up, it's called a school budget vote.

Actually, Mr. McGarry's salary is set by a contract negotiated between the teachers union and the school district --- the taxpayers don't get to vote yes or no on the contract.

And -- I will shut off the conversation about Mr. Farley's TRIPLE-DIPPING .. the day he is voted out of office or otherwise leaves public office.

but we don't set the teachers' salaries .. even if the budget is rejected .. the contract remains in effect

my point exactly.....but the budget guarantees their pensions/benefits......get it?....then they all fight over what is tossed to them via tenure.....they aren't kidding when they say they need teachers..
it's the future payouts that needs to be cut at the umbilica of the taxpayers......

preparation for the future without government guarantees should be taught in public schools along with latin......

Diane Marco can hardly be blamed for voting to raise the Clerk's salary -- it was horrendously low and it was a reflection of Mrs. Esposito's love for the Town that she worked for such a pittance.

I maintain that Mr. Farley's TRIPLE-DIPPING is as bad as any I have ever seen

And her present job is paid by who?
And her rotterdam senior gossip center position was paid by who?
And she was on the rotterdam town board that was paid by who?
And she is running for rotterdam town clerk that will be paid by who?

That is wayyyyyyy over triple dipping! Wouldn't everyone agree?
