Tomaselli didn't offer any solutions ... neither did McGarry  nor Villano --- and  NNTP/GOP candidate proved she is unqualified because by her own admission she is still reading a booklet from the Town Clerk's Association to figure out what the job actually entails.

just from the gazette article

villano - need to renegotiate contracts with unions  ---------   AGREED
tomaselli - need commercial development at curry rd. and hamburg street  (NOT a police station or the severson multi generational dem hangout) ---------------------- AGREED

Calder - not a tire business ? ? ?
FLIP FLOP VISCUSI - will bring integrity ? ? ? ? as a flopper ? ? ? ? ? ?

what were viscusi and calders plan?????  you twit

The fact is that  we need sewers to attract the business to Hamburg Street and other areas  (and our candidates did say that at the forum)  ....  and the town does need new  police station  and does need a new community center because the  current town facilities (Police station, boys & girls club and senior center) are very antiquated and not adequate.

Whether the police station/justice court  is built at the old Grand Union or built someplace nearby or someplace else in town --- IT NEEDS TO BE BUILT.

Tomaselli, Vilano and McGarry can TALK about bringing business in -- but they won't make the necessary investments in sewers and infrastructure .. they won't work with the IDA and Metroplex   .. therefore they don't have a chance in delivering on their promise.

Although, I do believe they will attempt to fulfill their promise to abolish the police department IF they are elected.  But -- they won't be elected.

Hamburg St. Sewers;  $5,000,000 dollars
10 hypothetical businesses at an assessed value of $400,000 dollars each;  $4,000,000 dollars
Town Tax, non homestead;  $5.78/1,000
Businesses Tax (revenue);  ($5.78/1,000) x ($4,000,000) = $23,120 dollars/yr.
Initial sewer investment/annual tax return; ($5,000,000)/($23,120 dollars/yr.) =216 years to break even  (commercial rate is actually much lower, increasing the life for a return)

it is not....but repetition and boring make smoke causing obfuscation....

Once again, the person who does NOT pay taxes is stating that the taxpayers---those who DO pay taxes---should be paying for all this stuff.   Why should the taxpayers pay for their own septic systems AND pay for sewers for the private businesses?

You claim you want consoidation, so why bother having a new police station - just hypocrisy - use the county sheriff's office.

Community center?    What the hell for????   Obviously the cheerleader for increasing taxes on the homeowners has no life and wants the taxpayers to fund his social life.   There is no need for a community center.   Children have more than enough activities via school--academic as well as after school acitivities, school sports or private youth sports, and dance or music lessons, scouting, and church group activities.   Parents with children also have more than enough to do rather than go to some socialist community center, we're involved with our kids.  Adults have plenty of activities and social life, ditto seniors -- we don't need the government providing our activities for us.   Poor guy, no life so expects the taxpayers to provide him a community center

How about the businesses take care of their  own expenses instead of you wanting the homeonwers to pay for it!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

The only one to talk about abolishing the RPD is HB who wanted to consolidate it into a County force. This was on CBS-6.

According to the bully troll, we need just about all new buildings! Police, firehalls, town hall, senior center, youth center, etc etc. I am sure it can be done without raising taxes (sure, and the tooth fairy will be by tonight with a coin for under your pillow. Right after Mother Goose comes calling.) This is the pipe dream of democraps who claim the reason Schenectady is in trouble is because not enough people are paying their taxes!!! REALLY! This is what the cop-endorsed mayoral candidate said last night!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Consolidation is NOT the same as abolishing it all together  --- and someday the municipalities and the county may have to seriously consider consolidation.   I can't speak for anyone else -- but I would support the consolidation into a single City-County 1,000 %.

Similarly,  I support new sewers for Hamburg Street and Burdeck Street and Duanesburg Road and Guilderland Avenue  and in Rotterdam Junction  ... and  every dollar spent on those sewers will be a great investment in teh future growth and vitality of our town.

Same with a new police station/justice court  and Bicentennial Park and the new multi-generational community center ...........  the town hall is ok where it is but IF we could put all the municipal buildings on ONE campus that would be even better.

Gee, doesn't this sound like the same thing that someone on this forum was saying a couple of years ago, about a "smart businessman" who stated flat out that he "needed to get into office to figure out what needed to be fixed?"  And now that it's a candidate from the party he (the person speaking above, not the politician) doesn't like, it's a bad thing?  And the funny thing is, she even said that she would know BEFORE she got into office what the job was.
