This anti Obama hysteria is spreading.
Just look at the above posts...

~Bumble bumbles along:
"Even McVeigh got his constitutional due process before he was killed".

Bumble... McVeigh was captured.  He was a prisoner.  He had a trial because he was apprehended.
But maybe we should change the rules just for Bumble...
Before any US Services men or women shoot at the enemy, they must first obtain a warrant, an guilty verdict and permission from his mother, before they pull the trigger.

~Then we have Cicero:
"since being the judge, jury, and executioner would mean the person was CHARGED with a crime"...
Tell me Cicero... What crime were the 100,000 Iraqi's charged with in Iraq?  All those Iraqi's who never saw the US tank that blew them to pieces???  Their Crime???  What court ordered their arrest???  Were those killings in Bush's Oil War, legal???

The Anti Obama hysteria is rampant on this board... This crew will even suck up to terrorists if it will keep Obama from reelection.  Amazing.

WOW...Red Herring Roxy went back to ole faithful...Using George Bush policy of 10 years ago, policies that he used to consider criminal, in order to justify Obama's policy of executing a U.S. citizen without due process.

Hey Box, why do you consider being pro Constitution and rule of law being Anti Obama?  Romney, Perry, Santorum, Gingrich, Cain, and all of FOX NEWS has come out in support of this policy of assassinating Americans abroad.  Like I've told you before, this statist government is BIGGER than one man.  We have an authoritative government, and Ron Paul has been trying to wake up the American people for 30 years.  It is now just being heard by those of us who have been brainwashed by our media, and indoctrinated by our public education.  And I think this assassination of a U.S. citizen without any formal charges will open even MORE eyes to the reality of this new America.

I guess some Americans are ok with the fact that it's government can kill an American citizen 'just on allegations' without following the rule of law regarding 'due process'! I guess some Americans are ok with the fact that it's government may never give anAmerican citizen their constitutional right to defend him/herself in a court of law.

WOW!

Hey, at least Bin Laden had an indictment by a grand jury.  That's not even extended to a U.S. citizen in 2011.

By those standards any one of us could be declared a terrorist without due process and killed.

I stand by my post.  Any enemy combatant (of any nationality) when fighting for our enemy in a war is a valid target (as it has been in all US wars).  All enemy in a war should be taken prisoner if applicable, but if not, they risk being killed.
When GWB was in office, this board would agree. But for political nonsense, the Righties on the board are now suddenly "rule of law" and 'Civil Rights' proponents.
These attributes will suddenly disappear if (at some far distant time) a Republican is back in the white house.
Can you imagine the reaction if, after BinLaden and his associates attacked the WTC, if the Democrats demanded a Criminal indictment, and trial, BEFORE ATTACKING AL QAEDA?)  (Fun watching the Right Wing Fish Flip Flop on the political sidewalk.)

My values have not changed, but some on this board who opposed GWB as a War Criminal, have suddenly, flipped and are posting that GWB's actions were criminal... They now support the fact that George Worst Bush IS a War Criminal.  Flippin & A Floppin!

Amazing!

The truth of the matter is the unconstitutional killing of an american citizen based on mere 'allegations' and without giving this american citizen his day in court.

And while this is a huge issue.......there are protests rising up through out the country 'occupying some city'.

Wag the dog?

Box, can you please lay out the guidelines of "enemy combatants' for a U.S. citizen.  What are the government guidelines for 'enemy combatant'?  Should Americans know the rule of law and what constitutes an 'enemy combatant'?  Like senders said in an earlier post, our posts could be considered acts of sedition and therefore make US enemy combatants.  People are still waiting for the evidence that put Al-Awlaki on a government hit list and justified his murder.  Without due process, we don't know what these guidelines are.  Americans are sitting there glued to the television, taking their facts from pundits that were fed their information from the government that justified the assassination.

BTW Box...Bin Laden DID get a criminal indictment...And he isn't even an American citizen.

Every year, police in this country kill hundreds of American Citizens... many in the commission of a crime.  Those shot usually are done so because they pose a threat to policemen or others.  If possible, they are captured with out a shooting, but sometimes it is necessary to kill the subject.

Many are killed "based on allegations" that puts them in contact with the police.  Most are shot with out a "day in court"... an act that Bumble suggests is unconstitutional.

In recent weeks several American Terrorists have been shot who pose a danger to US Citizens, while living in foreign countries.  Again, Bumble and others propose they were denied their constitutional rights.

Box, Americans were put on a government HIT LIST and hunted like dogs.  AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF GOVERNMET.  USING MILITARY PREDATOR DRONES!!!  Assassination of American citizens for the words they speak is now a policy set forth by an American President.  This is unprecedented.  What did Al-Awlaki DO???   What SPECIFICALLY did Al-Awlaki do?  Did he shoot at a U.S. soldiers?  Did he provide training for terrorists?  OR...Did he speak out against U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East on YouTube videos and in a magazine?

I can't believe box is now a champion of the police state and lethal force.

~What would removing Hitler's top generals done to end WW2?  (Even if they happened to be American Citizens)
~What would shooting Timothy McVeigh on the way to Oklahoma City do to protect the Americans in the Mira Building?
~What would shooting down the Sept 11th planes have done to protect the thousands of Americans Killed in the WTC?  (Even if the hijackers happened to be American Citizens)

Oh I didn't realize that it was the police that killed this american citizen. I thought the government used DRONES. When was the last time a DRONE was used to kill an american citizen on american soil?

By the way....this American citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, was on a hit list based on allegations.

Bush created the policy....obama acted on it and folks are proving it to be very unpopular!

Bumble,
It's interesting that you find George Worst Bush's policy to be "unpopular".  Cicero even denies that GWB actually killed an American citizen in Yemen in 2001...  He's so shaken by the news that this was done that he's had a mental block out of the incident, and won't even acknowledge that it happened.
Very traumatic !
