Abu Dabi (Golden Foundries - taxpayer gold), NANO Tech, Tech Valley, the new paradigm.

Ten or so years ago I attended a political debate at Siena College.  Much of the audience was made up of 'computer geek's', green nazi's, environmentalist, Working Familles (who is working in that group), etc.  The debate was between Paul Cline & Paul DerOhansian for Albany County DA.  Mr 'deCline' won the election.

Waiting for debate to begin I engaged audience on topic of the Joe Bruno Tech Valley gravy train.  I made the point that NYS needs to be business friendly, that way government welfare to industry would not be necessary nor would tax 'gifts' that cost the homeowners a bundle.  The audience did not want to hear about these things.  They were 100% gung-ho for Tech Valley welfare.  "We spent money on higher education, we want high paying jobs, we do not care about you people."  A lot of we's in there & the "you people" are the everyday, average Joe tax payer.

With the exception of a few local tech geek's who will get jobs in Tech Valley & the janitorial services, the bulk of good jobs will go to people from other countries.  Countries that do not worry about cultural diversity in their schools.  'What goes around comes around', the "audience" that did not care for average Joe will be passed over for good jobs.  I cannot say I feel sorry for them.

The expansion of medical services in Saratoga County is meant to meet the needs of the people coming into the region.  The city hospital & clinics are beneath them.

Someone, somewhere knew what was coming.  To the tax payer of NYS & local geek's, you were sold a bill of goods.  Your inattention to detail & political loyalties have not served you well.  Enjoy the process, you will be priced out of your communities as is taking place in Columbia County NY.

As a first generation American I am not an enemy of immigration, legal - but Americans should come first.  Buy American, hire American, get the idea?  

How many of the 3,000+ PEF workers, skilled & educated will be absorbed by NANO Tech?
