"Tea Party Nation" President Judson Phillips said, denying the right to vote to those who do not own property "makes a lot of sense". "The Founding Fathers originally said, they put certain restrictions on who gets the right to vote," Phillips said. "It wasn't you were just a citizen and you got to vote." "Some of the restrictions, you know, you obviously would not think about today," he continued. "But one of those was you had to be a property owner. And that makes a lot of sense, because if you’re a property owner you actually have a vested stake in the community." "If you're not a property owner, you know, I'm sorry but property owners have a little bit more of a vested interest in the community than non-property owners." Hey, at least it is only the head of an activist group making these remarks, and it's not a governor of a state suggesting foregoing congressional elections. Totalitarians Suck. |

...some unelected guy makes a statement about reverting to an old form of voter eligibility and we have to fear. A governor of a state says "suspend elections" and it is a "joke." |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |

If this 'unelected guy' were an elected official, we could vote him out, like the people can vote out the Gov who wants to suspend elections. Your "unelected guy" controls a political party of zombies, who have bought into a group of idealists, racists, skin heads, anti govt anarchists, and political terrorists. His bankroll is the largest in the nation... millions and even billions at his disposal from the Koch Bros anti America campaign. There was a time when someone advocating 'vote for property owners only' would be laughed at... there was a time when cutting grandma's social security check was considered un American and just plain mean. There was a time before the TeaBaggers were bought and paid for that the Conservative party stood for fiscal responsibility, and fairness. Today's Conservatives are 'employees' or volunteers of the Rich & Powerful... Useful Idiots to Anti America policy. |

When the Tea Party gathered in Washington they weren't paid for by the rich as most of them were older folks and many on SS. Being conservative doesn't mean favoring the rich, we were against the bank, housing, and wall street bailouts and according to you they are the rich. Why would we be against them if we were paid by them. You're believing too much of your parties talking points. |

Buses paid for by the Rich... The Rich with an agenda. Promoted for free on FoxSnooze... Hannity's Haters... There was nothing spontanious about the TeaBaggers rally. It was a promoted, staged event with the agenda set by... well by people like the "Tea Party Nation"... you know Judson Phillips... the people who want to take away the vote for everyone but the Property Owners. That Teaparty. |

Of course not... why would you limit an Americans RIGHT to vote... unless you wanted to suppress the vote among those who rent. I would guess a larger portion of renters are poor, and a larger portion of poor vote democrat. Kind of answers the question of WHY doesn't it. |

Box you have got your parties talking points down pat even though what you say isn't true. The buses were provided to cut down on the problem with parking around Washington, DC, people paid their own way except for a few buses that were paid for by a donor. Box, they were against the bank, housing, and wall street bailouts so your statements don't hold water. Conservatives are against excessive spending no matter who the beneficiary is. |

Maybe it's you who's got your parties talking points down pat... The amount of the INCREASE in the National Debt during each presidential term. Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase (Conservative) > Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.036 trillion increase (Conservative) > George H.W. Bush’s Term – $1.587 trillion increase (Conservative) > Bill Clinton’s First Term – $1.122 trillion increase > Bill Clinton’s Second Term – $418 billion increase > George W. Bush’s First Term – $1.885 trillion increase (Conservative) > George W. Bush’s Second Term – $3.014 trillion increase (Conservative) > Barack Obama’s First “Year” – $1.573 trillion increase |

Calling GHWB and GWB conservatives is a stretch even for you Box. Reagan increased spending but he also increased the income to the Federal Government too and put people back to work and the economy improved. I'm talking about the American people whose views are conservative not your cherry picked few people. The vast majority of Americans are now against wasteful non essential spending. |

The vast majority of Americans are now FOR the Rich Paying Their Fair Share of Taxes. (except the TeaBaggers... they want the Rich to have more and grandma's Social Security to be cut) |

Wrong again Box, most would like to see a flat/fair tax with no loop holes that allow companies like GE to get away without paying taxes while making billions in profit. We also would like to see SS, Medicare, and Medicaid reformed so that the programs will be sustainable in the future. Taxing the 2% of rich people in the country at a higher rate will not solve our debt problems and everyone but you know it. |
