It can't be true.  There's no money in the budget for it.  How will the downtown businesses survive???

Well it's quite obvious from those of us who are intelligent.   McCarthy is running scared.   He' trying to be mayor but how can he look the taxpayers in the eye and say he gave away money to millioniares downtown while failing to do NECESSARY work like paving roads.

Let's not forget how this dimwit mayor is going to make the taxpayers pay more money later.   Wait til the cheap paving starts falling part. Remember, the cheap junk WILL cost more because it will have to be done more frequently, and X number of years from now, the cheap stuff will cost more too.

Actually this road is not a cheap paving job.

It pretty much has to be rebuilt I think.  Well, who really knows.

They are putting in new granite curbs.  (Which they had to do)

I find it interesting though that they waited to the end of the season, meanwhile did the cheap paving jobs over as many miles as possible in other locations of the city.  Progress, you know?

Yet they won't take out the massive maple trees that ripped up most of the sidewalk ... amazing.

I thought this was about Fireside Pizza. In this renaissance we close the churches. In this renaissance we take tax money from the City schools kids. Keep the implosion going.

Try driving down Erie Blvd everyday. NEVER drive in the outer lanes, the pot holes will take off your bumper. How about Broadway? Terrible driving and please, the Stockade is a mess.

But then again, if you don't come to Schenectady more than once in a blue moon, guess that wouldn't bother you. BTW SB, did you get out of your car, or do you do the drive-thru like most.

We agree the 2 blocks of downtown are beautiful but the city officials let the rest of the city go to he**. You must have flown over the city because there's no way you could say the roads are good unless you don't mind the manholes either being too high or too low and the patches on top of patches.

My favorite is repaving the roads, then have a contractor tear it up to fix someone's water or sewer connection right after the blacktop hardens ... to be fixed/patched with a horrible patch job that's never level.

WHY was it "crooked?" Because he had tax warrants?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Shall we mention Geitner and the rest of the wealthy Dems that didn't even pay taxes though they had the money? Shouldn't they have gone to jail?

Really? So because the City has failed to pay the schools the $2 million in taxes owed, is the City crooked, is it illegal, against the law?

Maybe a round of golf will refresh your memory.
