How Egypt Justifies Its Brutal Crackdown On Civilians:

Two people were killed in Cairo and Alexandria this weekend as Egyptian activists took the streets to protest the
military's attempts to maintain its grip on power. And guess how the state is justifying its deadly crackdown???

"We saw the firm stance the US took against Occupy Wall Street people " an Egyptian state television anchor said
yesterday.

These mindless idiots are in this for the free camp grounds and an ever flow of weed with no requirements to shower. They don't even care that the banks, obama and all politicians are laughing like hell at them. They are laughing their asses off because of the misguided direction on exactly who/what they are supposedly fighting for.

The circus of freaks is a total failure and a hazard to the health of all americans. Even the liberal socialist media is turning on the occupiers AND apparently obama too!

Ron Paul is articulating OWS frustration, and explaining to the OSW people why they feel this frustration, and he's telling them the solution.  But the media blackout and the OWS demonstrators modern day 'liberal' ideology doesn't allow for them to listen to him.  Since Ron Paul doesn't have a strict pro abortion position, everything else he says means nothing to these people.  Just like on the conservative side, if he doesn't support bombing Iran he's an 'isolationist' and not worth listening to.  The smartest thing the democrat and republican party did to the electorate is to polarize them on a single issue.

It doesn't matter if Ron Paul could bring about world peace...If he wants to make abortion a state issue, he's a woman hater and is tuned out.  People are trained to react a certain way when they hear a certain word, like Pavlov's Dog.

PROVES???  Really?  Paul just mouthed the Republican talking points... The bailout was bad... (even though Paul's party
led the way in Bailouts).

Paul voted against the bailouts, this is one time over 90% of Americans agreed this was a bad idea and they were right.

I agree that the bailouts were a bad idea... When the ship of govt is sinking, extreme measures are sometimes
necessary, even if those measures are bad ideas.
To measure if the bailouts were the wrong decision, you need to view the alternative... what would this country
look like today with out them.  Would the USA be ahead or behind it's present situation if the bailouts never happened
and we did nothing.

The Bush bailouts IMO were a necessary action to  remedy years of inaction.  The Bush Economic Meltdown didn't happen
overnight.  Although both parties share some blame, the immediate reason our govt was sinking financially can be found in two
causes...
~Funding two wars on Credit...
~The largest  transfer of wealth in US history (from the middle class to the rich)  in the Bush Tax Cuts.

Instead of bailouts the USA needed to:
~Postpone (or cancel) the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich.
Then:
~Cut spending
or
`Increase taxes,
In order to pay for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

~Alternatively, we could have done what GWB said he was going to do... go to war with Al Qaeda, instead of going
to war with Afghanistan and Iraq.

It has a lot more to do with the wars, the bailouts bought bad assets and dumped that on to the taxpayers. Sure we would have still gone into a severe recession but we were already in the middle of one. All they did was prop up values which were already to high in the first place due to easy credit. The market will determine what those assets are worth and as far as the banks well guess what that was there problem for being to stupid. It was after all those who congress who forced the banks to make such easy credit.

There will be no recovery as long as they keep creating bubbles, they will eventually pop. As Einstein once said "the only thing we learned from history is that we haven't learned anything from history".

The great depression, may have been relegated to only a minor depression if the bailouts hadn't happened.
The only way to judge the consequences of not having a bailout would be to have tried it, so we'll never know.
There are some who think that the USA was on the brink of a catastrophic economic failure that would not have
been economically survivable with out some action.
Again, the only way to properly assess the decision is to view both sides... we are now only looking at one of
the options.
We can't learn from the history, that never happened.

We've been on the brink of economic failure for the past 3 years. Nothing they have done is working because their actions were meant to keep the top "1%" in power, yet they are selling it to the average citizen as necessary action to help the little guy.  Then these trained double talkers turn around and take a disingenuous populist position and blame the 1% for the problems.  And most Americans run around in confusion and bamboozled trying to figure out who is telling the truth.  Well, I'll tell you who is. Ron Paul.

There are two options, one is, they can cut government spending and reduce taxes and ease regulations to encourage the return of manufacturing and production to America, or two, what they are currently doing, which is to continue to monetize debt by printing money, and that will make EVERYBODY more poor and ultimately wipe out the middle class keeping the central bankers, corporations, and government bureaucrats in power.

The USA is broke... even worse, we are in debt.
So Cicero thinks we should cut spending... Makes sense to me.
Then he thinks, since we don't have enough money... we should take in less money by cutting taxes.

How does that work?  Oh yea... trickle down.  Give the Rich MORE MONEY and they'll throw the rest of us a bone.

The richest Americans of their day became rich when taxes for them were 90%.  YUP at they became millionaires
one dime at a time.
Later they got richer when taxes were cut to 70%... and even at 50,40 and 37%.  Today the effective tax on the
richest Americans is (when they pay any tax at all) around 18%.

Cic wants to cut spending... why don't we start by cutting spending of OUR TAX DOLLARS that we give to the Richest
Americans.
