Family Planning Services include:

Most FDA approved birth control methods, devices, and supplies (e.g., birth control pills, injectables, or patches, condoms, diaphragms, IUDs)
Emergency contraception services and follow-up care (Plan B is covered)
Male and female sterilization
Preconception counseling and preventive screening and family planning options before pregnancy
The following additional services are considered family planning only when provided within the context of a family planning visit and when the service provided is directly related to family planning:

Pregnancy testing and counseling
Comprehensive health history and physical examination, including breast exam and referrals to primary care providers as indicated (Mammograms are not covered).
Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI's)
Screening for cervical cancer and urinary tract or female-related infections
Screening and related diagnostic laboratory testing for medical conditions that affect the choice of birth control, e.g. a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, blood clots, etc.
HIV counseling and testing
Counseling services related to pregnancy, informed consent, and STD/HIV risk counseling
Bone density scan (only for women who plan to use or are currently using Depo-Provera)
Ultrasound (to assess placement of an intrauterine device)
If you are eligible for FPBP, you will receive a Benefit Identification Card, which must be used when you need the medical services indicated above.

Medicare Part D isn't for medical bills, it's prescription drugs only.  And yes, with a monthly fee ($121) it allows generics to be purchased in the "gap" period and 10% brand names during the gap - all other times there's a significant co-pay.  Yes, it's insurance - not a handout.  I pay for it.

No prayer group...I'm a bit more pragmatic...I understand that as long as the maniacs in government can push their agenda through public education curriculum, silent praying won't do much.  Being vocal and outspoken is much more effective. This will take a generation to fix.  So you have to have a beginning point.

There are no poor women forced to make that choice... There are no teenage girls with NO money and NO health insurance and NO access to birth control...

I personally object to a teen getting pregnant. Its bad enough that kids are having kids but to boot the family out of the situation smacks of government control. It smacks of a society out of control with the only apparent solution being to throw money down the hole.

You are always putting down "conservatives" but you are not as bright as you think you are, with all of your fancy language and what not. You incite venom and anger with your so called logic so all it makes you is "mean."

Where did I 'boot the family out of the situation?

If you consider that TEEN can mean 17,18 or 19 and liberated, living on their own with no contact from the family, or where a teen leaves the family because of drug abuse, crime or incest... Often with no health insurance, or access to birth control...
Isn't this the perfect example of a TEEN WHO NEEDS HELP?  Both help in preventing a pregnancy and help in health issues?

Family situations are not always what they should be in this country.  In a perfect situation, family would be first, as it should be.   What about situations where there IS NO FAMILY?

A recent study shows 80% of self described "evangelical" kids under 20 have premarital sex.  This isn't just a problem of the 'godless' or the poor.  20% of American women use PP services at some time in their life... often when they are the most vulnerable.
  Sex education, STD's Birth Control, Family Planning, Breast exams, Pap smear tests... All provided to women and men in need.  In my opinion, anyone who would deny these services to a person in need is the one being "mean".

Consider this:
~ 83 percent of PP clients receive services to prevent unintended pregnancy.
Isn't that a good thing?

~ Planned Parenthood services help prevent more than 612,000 unintended pregnancies each year.
Isn't that a good thing?

~Planned Parenthood provides nearly four million tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
Isn't that a good thing?

~Seventy-nine percent of Planned Parenthood health care clients in the U.S. are age 20 and older.
It's not just for "teens".

~Planned Parenthood often is the only source of family planning for a large proportion of the women we serve.
With out PP, there is no other provider.
  Denying women this services IMO is worse than 'mean'.
