40-day campaign aimed at ending abortion

On Sept. 28, people in hundreds of cities will begin a 40-day campaign of prayer, silent protest and community outreach in an effort to stop the tragic evil of abortion.
Every baby, regardless of his or her size, is fully human. At the moment of conception, a unique human life comes into existence. By the time he or she is three weeks old, his or her heart is beating. By eight weeks, all bodily organs have been formed, as the child rapidly continues on the path of development that will continue all the way to adulthood.
The innocent child in the womb deserves our love and protection, not death. Let us pray for an end to abortion and for the emotional healing of those who have been impacted by abortion. Let us also encourage those with child to cherish the life that God has entrusted to their care.

This October the earth's population is expected to reach 7 billion people...
Great timing for a anti-abortion 'pray in'.

Are liberals privy to the earth's human population capacity?

We have every left wing nut putting every animal whose population goes down 1% on the endangered species list, but for humans, lefties have no problem keeping hunting season open for everyone, and no limit on how many you can kill.  That's choice.  When is America going to wake up to the psychotic upside down world we live in.

Population control was the main reason PP was started in the first place, the cover story is always women's rights but every now and then they slip up and reveal their true agendas like Box just did

1. we dont need abortion for population control that's what the flu is for
2. the world IS upside down, even according to the bible and koran and will remain so until such 'god's' show up to right it

until such time as such occurs we will continue to talk about silly things....if someone thinks they should have and abortion because someone else told them to,,,then they get to be invited to the 'salt edumacation' of Schenectady county...
and if someone thinks they should take viagra because that's the only way they can enjoy life and be 'loved' then they too may be invited to the 'salt edumacation' of Schenectady county....

AND ..... dont forget...while all those folks are there Al F'en Gore will show up to give his human's are ruining the earth farting too much, global warming will kill us symposium....then we will all sit around the campfire....AGAIN.....

Abortion and the tipping point of world population are two separate issues.  One about women's rights the other about the capacity of an ecosystem to support life.

In my lifetime, the world will go from over 2 billion people to 7 billion.  That growth is unsustainable.

Abortion is the least acceptable method of controlling a population, but the political side of that argument is that the fight against abortion has also limited access to family planning and birth control.  Planned Parenthood can do more to benefit the overpopulation of the earth, not with more abortions, but with birth control and family planning for those who need it.

The Right Wing fight against abortion is depriving American women from birth control leading to more and more unwanted children.   Wouldn't the world be a better place if every child born was wanted? The fight against PP insures more unwanted children and MORE abortions.

Someone has to speak for those who can't speak. Someone has to speak for the innocent victims of an unnecessary, irresponsible death. Someone has to speak for the 'would be' future of the world. The future mothers, fathers, scientists, doctors etc.

.......someone has to speak!

The problem with unwanted children and the population explosion sure isn't located in the US, it's in the 3rd world... There should be a world-wide effort to control population there.

Are we talking about "wanted" children OR population control?  Should we control the population of "wanted" children?

Population control...But with dwindling resources, I think all facets of population control should be discussed including "wanted" children.

Someone has to speak for the teen mom who wants to be a 'doctor a scientist, a mother and raise a family... but she is pregnant at age 16 because her local PP was shut down by Right Wing Terrorists and she lost access to birth control.  Aborting this unwanted zygote would have led to a cure for cancer, or an efficient fuel cell, or much more... but she had to drop out if high school and never attended college... strapped with an unwanted baby, she vows to never have another.

No one speaks for the unwanted human cells killed in cosmetic surgery, appendectomy's, or aborting other clumps of unwanted human cells.

We agree.  There was such a program under Bill Clinton... GWB dumped it because it also offered abortion services, along with AIDS, family planning and birth control services.

How do I know the population of the world???  Is that your question?
The world population is expected to hit 7 Billion next month.

CICERO: Does the fight FOR PP insure more WANTED children and LESS abortion?

IMO yes.  There is a huge problem of girls (and boys) with insufficient family planning knowledge. (Bristol Palin) Many of these kids are in families who will never discuss anything about birth control or sex with their kids.

PP is an important resource for kids looking for reliable information.  Knowledge is power... in this case, the power to make good decisions about their future.  Good decisions promote less unwanted pregnancies and less abortion.
