In a hilarious junk mailer Acting McCarthy now claims to have created 4,000 new private jobs! This junk piece arrived 4 days after the primary. This is 500 more than he said he "created" just last week.

Gary McCarthy is also "committed to reducing taxes and spending"-lol. WTF? That's why he voted down a City budget in 2009 because he wanted MORE taxes and MORE spending than Mayor Stratton. Two hundred jobs at the Battery Plant where are the other jobs Acting McCarthy? The Alliance Party has this junk mailer and is going large with this crap.

They ought to make it read 400,000. No one will ask questions and it will look better for them.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

No matter who is running.......they ALL use take credit for the job creation. It appears that the electorate is catching on to the false hype. These jobs are mainly transplants from one area of the county to the other. And if there are newly created jobs, theyare slightly above minimum wage at best. Certainly not a wage to afford the cost of living in schenectady.

They are correct in one aspect. There are  created jobs........ created 'by the government, for the government and their selected developers'.

It's the SAME kind of hilarious LIES that the savage candidate last year claimed that taxes were lowered when the TRUTH, the FACT is that the amount shown on the tax BILLS for the overwhelming majortiy of homeonwers in the county went UP.

I DEFY McCarthy and his cheerleader DV (aka SB aka GG) to list what the jobs are.    What are the inidivudal positions, what are the employers, and how much the jobs pay.   Of course DV will sayt it's none of the tacxpayers business how much people are getting paid, etc, but I'm not interested to know the names of the employees and how much individuals are paid.   If these socialists and their cheerleaders said they "created" five engineer jobs and they created five baker jobs and five appliance sales people jobs, and the emloyers where these jobs were created were the NYSDOT, the Villa Italia, and Marcella's, well, then I want them to to explsain what their definition of "created" is and how they arrive at saying they "created" jobs when they took five EXSTING bakers from Hamburg St and moved them to Broadway, and how they "created" five appliance salespeople jobs when they took five EXISTING appliance salespeople jobs and moved them a few thousand feet, and how is it that taking five EXISTING engineer jobs at NYSDOT and moving them from on address to another address is defined as "creating" jobs?    Actually, I'll bet you that the number of those engineer jobs has been reduced because some engineers who worked in Albany so loathed coming in to Schenectady they probably resigned, retired or transferred some to some other department rather than transferring to Schenectady and the state has supposedy had a hiring freeze (except for their dem crony political patronage jobs) so probably they don't replace those people, and gee, look how the bridges are crumbling.

But McCarthy has to explain also how the taxpaying tax base has increased in the city.   He must be made who show the history of the city's tax LEVY, city's tax RATE, the total amount of tax exempt properties BEFORE 2003 and the total amount of tax exempt property today and to explain the dramatic increase, to state SPECIFICLALLY to the voters where collective increase in tax exemptions is located.   Then somone needs to show the DIRECT relationship of the additional tax exemptions and how they have impacted the tax BILLS on the homeowners, and also use FACTS showing the typical household income of people in 2002 and what it is today......and ask McCarthy and all those dems running if they continue to support robbing and raping the homeowners in order to give out tax exemptions to the rich.

McCarthy also should be requried to state how many people in those mostly 4,000 EXISTING jobs that were merely transferred from one locastion to another, how many of the employees in those jobs bought a house in the city and actually live in the house as well.

I am so sick of ALL the politicians talking about job creation, not just the local ones.
My question is, what jobs? My young friend I've mentioned before was ACTIVELY looking in Schenectady. He couldn't find these jobs. I couldn't either, I was helping him. Show me an example. Couldn't they put an actual person in the flier? It's like the claims of the renaissance downtown. Please tell me what we GAINED. Show me. I'm dense. Give me a clue. There must be SOMEONE who got a newly created job who wants to show her or his gratitude by appearing in campaign literature.
Years ago my father worked in personnel for a large company. When I was a child, people would tell me "Your father got me my first job". I didn't understand then, but it was a big deal to them. They were actually grateful. So are the recipients of these thousands of good paying jobs such ingrates that they won't come forward to thank the job creators? Times sure have changed.

All of the County DEMS lie about Downtown job creation but desperate McCarthy has tanked to a new low. The standard lie is 3,500 new jobs "created". He added 500 nonexistent private sector jobs in one week. The other joke is that he wants lower taxes. This lifer has voted to increase taxes and fees hundreds of times. His golf course proposal was laughed out of City Hall. BTW, he could only get 76 idiots to vote for him on the ballot. No wonder his funding has dried up and Roger Hull is buying TV time. Rotsa Ruck getting out the DEM moron message on OSM.

Yes, I'm quite sure he created 4000 jobs.
All of them pushing a shopping cart, collecting returnable bottles and cans.

Don't forget the 4000 jobs he created for auto mechanics alone, to repair suspensions, front end alignments and balancing tires after driving through the Schenectady mine field.

If they fixed the roads, they'd probably put a few auto mechanic shops out of business.  It's part of the renaissance and job creation.

McCarthy created 4,000 jobs more than Obama and Tony combined! He did this "miracle" in his spare time after his County and City Council jobs. The lying from the DEM camp has hit a panic stage. 3,500 wasn't enough now Acting McCarthy has upped it to 4,000. 4 for him but what about the other 4,996. Produce a list for the media.

Oh it appears that you are getting this confused with the gazetto. It is the gazetto that is the cheerleading operative for the democon party. A liberal democrat stooge if you will. It is the gazetto that has lost all credibility. It is understandable how one could get confused.

the liberals tell the gazetto that they created 4000 jobs......the gazette takes their word for it......and bingo.....it's in print! It appears that most media outlets do the same. Great investigative journalism is sadly a lost art form. Perhaps that is why citizen journalists have become more credible and are gaining in viewer ship.

the jobs are there. ....

Tell us DV, WHAT jobs that are good paying jobs were CREATED downtown?    NOT jobs that were moved from one location to another, and also do NOT tell us about those dishwashers, maids, ticket takers, popcorn poppers, counterhelp and the like.

YOUR own words...."the jobs are there."    I have copied and pasted YOUR WORDS, YOUR VERY OWN QUOTE.....Now,, tell us what jobs were CREATED.   What jobs were CREATED that allow the people to buy homes IN THE CITY and occupy them, AND be entirely self supporting with no public assistance whatsoever.

Well, can you answer that?    And provide the PROOF.

You know, DV, I have asked you before, just to tell us how many of those high paid state employees at DOT have bought houses IN the city AND LIVE IN THEM, since their jobs were transferred here.  You STILL have not answered that....obviously becuase NONE of them have moved into the city.   They work here and flee the city at the end of the work day.

And your continuous REFUSAL to provide links to official sources proves that YOU have ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIBILITY whatsoever.   You STILL have NOT provided one teeny weeny shred of proof that Morris no longer has two STAR exemptions and you have not provided one teeny weeny shred of proof that he paid a penalty for violating the law against in getting two STAR exemptions.
