When the 'New World' was settled, missionaries usually Catholic were sent forth. Ditto same for the dark continent. Those accepting the new belief system were incorporated into the new order, those retaining ancient belief systems were put to the sword or went under ground. That is where we are at in America. The cathedrals are now universities & the missionaries are professors. The black ships have been replaced by the internet & the black robes, well the new missionaries still wear black robes. Some things are constant. The regalia worn in Catholic & Anglican (Catholic Lite) ritual were hand me downs from ancients in the area we now call the Mideast. The old becomes the new. The Judo-Christian wear the robes of the ancient ones, political correctness has risen out of Lenin's Tomb, the old is new, again & again.
Islam is the wild card in this game. They preach if not practice an agenda that is far more structured than ours & yes, 'conservative'. I know some of you equate conservative with moral. As far as their strangeness in areas of women & doing children; Christians & Jews have done their share of buggery.
