To satisfy the likes of gentlemen hunters like former Vice President Dick Cheney, a number of ranch owners across the land have been importing Eurasian wild boars in recent years and offering them up in canned hunts. But as a story in Monday’s Gazette indicated, the pigs not only eat like pigs, they’re as cunning as foxes, procreate like rabbits and wreak more environmental havoc than teenagers on ATVs. The state is thinking of banning these canned hunts, which would discourage ranchers from importing them, before the problem really escalates. Gazette’s editorial policy lost to the liberals

    In your Sept. 7 editorial [“Act now against wild boars”], why did you have to take a clear, gratuitous shot at former Vice President Dick Cheney (who by the way, is not my favorite person on the planet, either)? I mean, what the heck did he have to do with this story?
    So now New York has a developing problem with wild boars because Dick Cheney has hunted them in Texas or wherever?
    This tidbit by itself is hardly a big development, but it is just another example of the ridiculous liberal drift of the Gazette. Can’t you folks even make a token effort to appear the least little bit down the middle?

I wonder if it ever dawned on the Gazette staff that their circulation is down because they don't print both sides of every story only the liberal side.
