i guess the same agrument can apply to benny and grammie.. both of whom do not live in the city.. i do believe grammie has a business in city, but benny is a political operative with now ties to the city
I do respect your opinion SB and all of those on this forum. My concern is that your interest in Schenectady isn't necessarily about the good of the people rather, it's about keeping your party in control. Listen, I get it. The DEMS have been in control for 20+ years, but within that time, not much has changed for the good. If we truly were experiencing such a Renaissance, people like you would be moving here, our taxes wouldn't be incredibly high and our school system wouldn't be one of the most dangeous/lowest graduating in the State. For a $240K assessed property paying over $10k in school and property taxes, we expect more. I don't expect miracles, but I do expect the leaders to be responsible enough to make cuts in the budget - but that never happens. I don't believe that spending $3 million on a golf course is prudent when our roads are being 'temporarily' repaired, pit bulls run all over the streets and our children don't have sidewalks to walk to school on. Nothing has gotten better for the taxpayers and families in Schenectady, even with millions in Plex money spent. |
