McCarthyism takes a whole new form in Schenectady.

Not a DEM, you vote can't be bought, they'll attack you without evidence.

Sounds like history repeating itself.

Wow, thanks for the spell check. By the way, it's spelled 'you' not 'u', just for future reference.

now if only we could get rid of a certain candy shop on albany street.

Wow, so that really is how the dems operate - by threats of "getting rid" of the people with opposing political philosophies ... If I were Joe S., I'd have this threat in the hands of a lawyer / law enforcement so fast your head would spin.  I'm sure it wouldn't take much to get a subpoena to find out the owner of the "Smoking Bananas" account.

yes, that is how we"democrats" work in the land of lala.....

I am sure that the guy is not afraid of this clown, he is paper pusher. I think he has had bigger, better and meaner people wanting to hurt him and his business before. But it speaks volumes about this gang of animals who want to destroy the small business of the community who carry the load and pay the taxes that keep them employed. They think can just call Schumie or Tonka for a government grant when they run out of money, I guess. It is nice to document the threat though, because he mentioned a specific target and threatens to harm them using his powers all because of the owner's political persuasion and past out-spoken ways against the dictators. The small business community will not be amused, and it may be a great fundraising tool for the Alliance party and GOP!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Funny, I talked to an owner of a "candy store on albany street" today - he's not even aware of this forum.  Says his business is surging and dealing with petty stuff like this would take too much time from his customers.  Good for him, shows he's dedicated to customer service and improving his own business.

Digging up fossilized dinosaur crap because there is no defense for the pitiful state the City has fallen under in the past 20 years.

Let's attack private citizens, the taxpayers and ignore the malfeasance in office. Right?

Smokey, when you own property in the City and begin to pay taxes, I'll respect your opinions about the City leadership. Right now, you're just a hypocrite without a vested interest in the City.

There is clearly not a level business playing field for old or new businesses. However, when  one sees businesses, such as cornells (a great long time restaurant) begin to fail even AFTER they were given many taxpayer's loans and then bailed out.....it should be clear to intelligent.....that things aren't quite as good as the elected officials and the gazetto cheers about.

Comparing fireside to cornells......... both are/were long time successful businesses......both provide/provided great service and products.........both ran into financial problems..............only cornells got bailed out!
If they hadn't been bailed out by the taxpayers and now the gazette............they too would be closing as fireside did.

There is no level playing field!!!
