Just heard on the radio that Rotterdam is shutting the water at 2pm today. Fill ur tub for toilet flushing and fill containers and refrigerate.

Ours is working fine

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Schenectady County under water restriction
August 29, 2011 3:24 PM
CBS6 Staff

SCHENECTADY -- A countywide water restriction has been issued for Schenectady County until further notice.

Municipalities within the county are preparing to shut down water systems due to widespread flooding and using stored reserves.  The county is issuing the order to maintain the highest reserve levels until the flood waters have receded and systems are brought back online.

Officials say water should be limited to drinking, food preparation and sanitary needs only.

Just coming back to give information on this one issue, as I know it is pressing for all through town.  After this, I will leave you alone, unless I see other pressing news that needs to come to the front.

The following is the reply in full from Supervisor DelGallo that I received via e-mail regarding questions I sent regarding the water issues and the town board meeting that was scheduled for Monday that no one appeared for...

Dear Mr. March;

We are sorry that you made the trip to the Town Hall to attend the special meeting of the Town Board.  This meeting had to be cancelled due to the lack of power to the Town Hall and the residence of the town.  The Police Department issued a press release announcing that the meeting would be cancelled and would be rescheduled.

Also a press release will be going out this morning regarding the town water restrictions.  The water restriction has been lifted and everything is back to normal.

If I can be of any further assistance to you in the future please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.
Frank DelGallo

I don't know if anyone heard any of these press releases that were supposedly made, but I am releasing them here in case of those of you who haven't.

Also, power was back on for the time of the meeting, albeit only a few minutes prior to the meeting.  The meeting was scheduled for 5 PM, with the power being brought back up at 4:45.
