Obviously Bumble, Choice is not a priority to you, but it is to many Americans.  If you think that Choice is not threatened in this country, you're living in a bubble.

PP is being attacked across the country, and legislation is continuing to make it more difficult, more costly and a longer delay to get an abortion.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Bumble... your vote is already cast...

Choice is not your issue so you act as if it doesn't matter.  There are voters out there who might vote for Paul, but one look at his anti freedom, anti choice position, and they will write him off and not bother to listen to another word.
For most Democrats and many Independents, Paul is just one more Republican.

My opinion is there are MANY more Americans with a pro-liberty and pro-freedom sentiment in American, than pro-abortion.  Americans are concerned about the growing liberty denying government agencies like the TSA, DHS, and the Patriot Act and warrantless wiretapping, and Obamacare and government bailouts for corporate bankers.  Americans are waking up to a REAL and legitimate fear, not the boogie men that bureaucrats make up to scare you into supporting the liberty stealing legislation that has been passed over the past 60 years to expand the bureaucracies and take away your rights.  Americans are realizing they have been enslaved by the new corporatism and fascism in the USA, creating a forced dependency on government, central banks, and Wall St.

Ron Paul's position on abortion rights is LOW on the priority list of most Americans.   Americans understand there is a much greater immediate threat to America, than the philosophical debate between pro lifers and pro abortion.

the government has plenty of money they are not in bad shape.
the budget is not the complete  picture you have to look at the CAFR's
the Tea party is not the enemy.

one enemy is believing government can solve your problems.
another enemy is the ones who love to call groups other than them names,
watch the name callers the will bag themselves.
and if in our modern world where gay marriage has been legislated to be normal, teabagger should no longer be a dirty word.
the loyalists in boston called the patriots Yankees prounounces as yonkess because they were bigots who did not want to serve the King.
nothing new under this sun

the northwest migration continues

thats great, abortion is your choice but dont force me to pay for it.
and it does fail the test of do no harm, you choose to believe that it is not killing I can live with that, just let me live in my own skin.
but with our illustrious government benfactors in the middle they will use it for a wedge.
And what about this thing about government providing jobs?
We got to get off this idea of I got to have a job.
cant you do something productive?
DO you have any ideas left or does government have to even fill your head with things to do.

There are so many on this board who are at "war with their government".  I don't feel that way at all.
I oppose some legislation, others I support.  Some of what the Govt does is  good and necessary  (Medicare, Health care, Military)... Other programs are not (Industrial/Military complex, Tax cuts for special interests, Corporate welfare).

If the TeaBaggers had their way, the USA would cease to exist.  They want to Cut Government until it no longer functions.  When education stops educating, when commercial aircraft regularly fall out of the sky, when there is mass outbreaks of food poisoning in our supermarkets... The TeaBaggers will cry "Our Government  SHOULD DO SOMETHING"!!!

Yes...Because all those things you mentioned happened on a regular basis before the Federal Government created a department to "protect us" from them.  Planes falling from the sky, trains were running late, and tens of thousands of people dying of food poisoning was the norm before these agencies were formed.

SCARE...SCARE...SCARE...FEAR...FEAR...FEAR...SAFETY...SAFETY...SAFETY...CASTROPHY...CATASTROPHY...CATASTROPHY...

What's the Federal Government going to do to save us from hurricane Irene?  I'm sure there are MANY people paralyzed waiting for some bureaucrat to tell them how to take care of themselves and how to take the proper precautions to the approaching hurricane, since the government has been telling them how to live their whole life.

The Federal Government has become a giant bubble and when it pops it's going to get ugly.

The Righties look at our government as "THEM", I look at it as "US".  A huge difference.

You're right; you look at the Federal government as "us" and look at American citizens that believe in the small government Tea Party sentiment as "them"... That's the theme of the thread...Maxine Waters is the first bureaucrat to publically wage this war against the American people.  Americans are NOW the enemy of the state. In this NEW America, citizens are now just subject of the ruling bureaucrats. Our elected officials are not governing at the will of the people, but rather attacking the people as if they are a foreign enemy.  We are living in interesting times.  This is a very pivotal election.

The Government (THEM) will kick you to the curb...

WE are the Government.  Unless you're talking about the 'enemies of the government (TeaBaggers) the Government is US!

When WE the "people" DESIRE LESS FEDERAL Government(not eliminate it, just less intrusive and more local), the people we elected and PAY to represent us, turn on the people and call them enemies of the state.  VERY interesting times.

This is a philosophical battle a century in the making.

We are not enemies of 'the state',,,,that state is looking at the plebs it has created and wonders why all the tiny little bubbles dont just follow
and continue on the grinding wheel of life 'they' think is best for 'their' machine.....

it's upside down

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
