A serious accident in Schenectady, is under investigation.

It happened on McClellan Street around 1:00 pm Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a car was driving north when it crossed the center line and struck a National Grid truck that was parked.

There were two workers in that truck at the time of the crash.

A medical helicopter was forced to land at Schenectady High school to transport the driver of the car to Albany Medical Center.

His condition is not known, but police do not believe his injuries are life threatening.

They were filming scenes for that new movie in the area between  Brandywine Ave, Eastern PKWY and Vale Cemetery today ... not sure if that would explain the helicopters --- but there were a lot of police cars controlling traffic ------   also - there seemed to be quite a few of "prop police cars" at various points in that neighborhood.

I have been hearing an excessive number of sirens in the evening since filming began, and someone did suggest it could be movie related, but yesterday sounded like all hell had broken loose. Perhaps it was an accident on Brandywine AND Hollywood drama simultaneously?
