So is he going to lay down and die if he wins the primary? or will he be running against endorsed republicans.................

I am running to WIN.

I had the opportunity to interview with the Republican Party twice and it was mentioned in the interview that:
(1)   I did not have name recognition.
(2)  My expectation on running my campaign on less than a $1000 outlay of cash cannot succeed.

It is my belief that I should not ask the voters and taxpayers to invest in me with their donations and expect a return on their investment (payback) as I am asking them to trust me to be a steward of their tax payments.

Should I win the Conservative primary,  I will not lay down,  I will continue to offer a choice to the taxpayers of my hometown.

Very interesting that among Koza's facebook supporters are Joe Suhrada, Jim Longo and Kevin March......All current or or pending Republican committee members. Really interesting that the republican committee appears to be running a shadow candidate...

My great grand parents were dems and they were friends with folks of all political persuasions. Back then, they all helped each other out. Respected everyone!! Holidays and birthdays were celebrated together. They did not define another human being by their politics. Perhaps some should take a lesson.

After reading today’s news of Mr DiNapoli's recommendations of a 16-19% increase in required funding
Rotterdam’s retirement numbers are as follows 2,463,100 - this number includes Social Security

At a mandatory 16% increase we would need almost a $400,000 in next year’s budget
At a mandatory 19% we are looking at almost $470,000 in the budget

Based on an overall budget of $15 million the numbers would relate to a 2.5% or a 3.1% increase.

The most important part is this piece of the budget is not part of the newly enacted CPI or 2% whichever is lower Tax Cap Law and will be passed on to all of us.

Please ask those running for office how they will achieve their "taxing" goals?

ROTTERDAM
Town Board hopeful has slim budget

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Todd Koza is putting $1,000 on this year’s election for Rotterdam Town Board.
The candidate running for the Conservative Party endorsement has budgeted about $450 for his primary challenge next week and up to $550 for the general election if he wins. This relatively austere budget means he has to cut corners when possible: He’s printing a modest mailer at home, relying on social networking websites to raise awareness for his candidacy and above all, recycling campaign signs he plucked from town roadsides last December.
“Those are recycled no-new-taxdistrict signs,” he said proudly.
With some imagination and a little ingenuity, Koza turned the defunct placards from the town’s ambulance tax district referendum in December into signs for his own run for office. All it took was a little 3M Scotchlite refl ective tape, some black spray paint and stenciling.
The stark black signs with white and orange lettering stand out against others during daylight hours. They’re even more visible at night, when the white Scotchlite tape illuminates the lettering of Koza’s last name.
“You can see them at night,” he said. “They’re glow in the dark.”
The total cost per sign? Less than $8, which is a fraction of the $58 he was quoted from a professional printer.
Granted, the signs aren’t exactly attractive. But that’s all right, Koza said. They make a statement.
“Try to utilize what you have in the best manner possible without spending a fortune,” he said.
And that’s exactly Koza’s goal if elected to office. He wants to fi nd fiscally prudent ways to utilize the town’s resources for the benefit of its residents.
“We have a lot of resources in town that are not being utilized,” he said. ...............................>>>>.....................................>>>>..............................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r02002&AppName=1

I like his signs. ONly thing I would have done differently is spend more on the primary since that IS the election for him.

I don't get to vote in the Conservative Primary, otherwise I would have paid a little more attention in what Mr. Koza's stances were on things.  That being said, he found some interesting places to put his elections signs, and I do like the idea that you can read his signs great at night, one of the downfalls of the light names on a dark background that the Republican parties have this year.

His signs that he put in the middle of the circle @ Hamburg and Curry have drawn both parties to place their signs there leading up to today.  It's nice to see that the Republican kept their signs back a bit, while the Democrats put their signs literally directly in front of the Republican signs.

All the signs at the circle point to one thing for me... has anyone actually looked at the middle of the circle since it has had everything placed / planted?  It looks as though there's supposed to be someone coming and taking care of it, but the entire thing is just overgrown.  Is this something that is supposed to be taken care of by the highway department?  Or since it's a decorative area, is the the Parks and Recreation committee that should be taking care of it, or some other group?  Somebody needs to get in there and clean it up, otherwise it's just going to continue to be another eyesore in Rotterdam, if anybody has a reason to pay attention to it.

Give him time, he's been out of town feasting at the table of plenty - heck, he didn't even know there was a possibility of flooding or tropical weather (either time) ...

And what cross-section of the first responders is it who have endorsed the Reunite Rotterdam Team?  I want to ask a few of them myself.  Thanks.
