McCarthy fell on his face again on Talk 1300. He doesn't read the budget? Another new low. Get back on the golf course Goofy.

How about when he tried to defend the pension padding which was passed in the budget while he was Council President? "It was a consent agenda"...really?? You're not questioning everything when trying to save SOMETHING in the budget??

He couldn't get a big enough life jacket to stop drowning today.

I can't believe McCarthy was dumb enough to accept the party endorsement and run this year.  He was set up as the Democrats sacrificial lamb, aka - the Ed Kosiur, or the Susan Savage.  Now it will be known as the Gary McCarthy.

I talked to somebody last week that told me it has been McCarthy's boyhood dream to run for mayor of Schenectady.  Those Democrat bosses are heartless in leading him to the slaughter.

At least he 'acted' like a Mayor for a little while?

Gonna be great watching him after he gets his wings clipped.  He's gonna be a grumpy puppet master. I think all his puppets will abandon him after they get a chance to "sit at the table" for once.

The debates are now over. Roger Hull mopped the floor with Goofy. McCarthy now claims he didn't see the budget line for pension padding. No one believes this lie. He is fiscal incompetent and the City will go bankrupt if he is given 4 more years. Like 16 years isn't enough. If he had an idea other than raise taxes 150% and start new fees on everything we would have seen it 15 years ago. Funny how he never mentioning losing 1753 jobs in any debate -lol.

unions are a problem, i agree. but at same time they are a godsend. so they are, dare I say, a necessary evil.

Unions are only evil if they can munipulate a weak government. In Schenectady, that's the weakest it gets and every single Union leader knows that.

Cuomo isn't weak and has proved it. Unfortunately, McCarthy refuses to take a stand because to anger the Unions would take away votes. McCarthy is not a leader he's simply bending over backwards to keep the Unions with benefits/overtime/healthcare and all at the taxpayers expense.

I believe that is not the case in the city. the unions just gave back on health care by agreeing to participate in the same prescripotion drug plan the county has in place, and which has been shown to save millions over the years.

that's an F'EN joke because national healthcare and my pocketbook will still pick up the damn tab.......and besides they never tell how they 'gave up' (something that was never theirs) and actually
trade most of the time.....like another F'EN floating holiday...pay for no work.....I just ask the nurses/cnas/laundry/maintenence at the county nursing home and their bennies.....

it's a sham and a joke....it's a closed club and they are the gangstas along with the low riding pants and pajama wearers of walmart.....they may not dress like that but in the mirror they look
the same....
