SCHENECTADY -- A correction officer has been placed on paid leave following accusations he groped women on the medical staff at the county jail, according to people familiar with the situation.
They said allegations of sexual harassment against Shawn Hawkins, who has 18 years on the job with the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office, surfaced late last week when a physician assistant reported being touched inappropriately. The sources requested anonymity because they were not authorized to comment on the personnel matter.
This week, several other women employed in the jail's medical wing have come forward to say they too were sexually harassed or witnessed others being subjected to the abusive behavior.

Not suprised I know some CO's from this jail... It's unfortunate, but they seem to have a hard time determining right from wrong, swearing and telling sex stories in front of children and women for example.

Most of them are good men. That man is innocent until proven guilty anyway, and he will get his day in court.

Ah it's not bull crap,,, why would I make up such a such a thing? I know 3 CO's and unfortunatly the atmosphere at the jail has really f'd them up.
