It's tonight (Aug 2, Tuesday)
Schenectady does not have national night out. Not a word from the mayor, etc. Newspaper had info on other cities doing things.
But in Schenectady, eliminating crime is not on the list of things to be done, nor is it on any list of accomplishments.
Just as long as all the taxpayers have their taxes raised to give more handouts to the millioniares downtown, that's all that mattered.
Just as long as the taxpayers have their taxes raised to allow Philip Morris to have the STAR exemption in a house he does not live in, in violation of state law.
It's 9:30. Had Schenectady done the right thing, there would be a grand fireworks display occurring right now in Central Park. The numbers of people in the park right now would probably be 40,000 if not more. (far more than at that summer night thing a couple weeks ago with that next-to-nothing fireworks that they had. A friend of ours showed us photos he took, that fireworks show started at 10:02 and ended at 10:08 Wow.
No national night out against crime in Schenectady, the crime has increased SUBSTANTIALLY |
