Quoted from Shadow
"The city will continue to use the Key to the City program to market city houses to prospective buyers, foreclose on tax-delinquent properties and use federal funds to build and rehabilitate houses, he said. But Mc-Carthy added that he doesn’t mind having another way to deal with vacant houses — particularly since the land bank might help the city fi nance the demolition of many burned-out and abandoned buildings".
Give me some more of that free money.

"....help fiinance the demo of many burned out...."

Of course, it has to be the taxpayers' money.   But Mr Popolizio still owns his hotsy totsy house in Nisky, he the built in pool, he has the money to have it meticulously landscaped, etc.   He collects rents (often from the taxpayers' pockets) and the city has the NERVE to use taxpayers' money to take the place down at McClellan & Eastern and they do not go and take his house to cover the cost and reimburse the taxpayers!   Ditto the other big time absentee owners.

And of course, there wouldn't be so many vacant houses in the city McC and his fellow dems reduced the taxes on the homeowners by making all of downtown pay their taxes!    But the dems don't have the intelligence to figure that out.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Really, sell half the properties and spend the money knocking down the other half.

True geniuses.

How about sell them all and apply the money to the existing debts?

I already know who they plan on giving the lands to with the pesky homes removed.

Let the dam metroplex and industrial development agency pay to demolish the buildings themselves after they purchase them at the tax auction.

This is insult to injury.

They will sell half the homes and spend the money developing the lands for businesses.

They all need to be fired.

Let's have a recall election and replace them with no one.

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
