Wasn't it mikechristine1 who truthfully reported what the online records show? You would have to use the ONLINE records to prove lying. And Benny isn't the one who reported what was ONLINE. What are you on about?
When I went to the assessor's office one time, a man there used the ONLINE records to show me the information I requested. There was a computer monitor right on the counter, which he turned so I could see the screen. I'm surprised they didn't update the record of the old exemption when he got the new one.
I wonder wonder what other records they would use when you call them that they don't use when you walk in?
BTW, the guy was polite but there was a woman in there who was very rude.

They put this tax info on line for the public to gather information and use. Just like they now put the police reports on line for the public. Are they all updated and correct? And who's responsibility is it to update the misguided information?

I'm afraid that many city departments are badly outdated and there are no longer clearly defined responsibilities. This is NOT the fault of most city employees, who I believe try to do the best they can. The problem is that those who should be leading are busy taking care of themselves and their cronies,have no interest in the city, have actual contempt for the residents, and would not live here themselves if you paid them, which we do.
BTW, Gary McCarthy was in my neighborhood campaigning this past weekend, and he assured one of my neighbors that he is going to enforce residency laws. Does someone know how Roger Hull stands on following the law?
I suspect that if Philip Morris really isn't getting two exemptions, the second one only ended after MC1 reported it. Just sayin'.

Mr. Morris is an outstanding man and his contributions to Schenectady greatness will live as long as Edison's, Steinmetz'z, Stratton's and Mayor Johnson's. He does not deserve this vicious personal attack coming from the wrong political leaders who want to tear down our fine city. I happen to have met him on several occasions and found him delightful. People here seem to want to destroy the progress being made and it is terrible and criminal. GG

So, is Morris defrauding the government by applying for 2 STAR exemptions or not?  Does anyone have definitive proof rather than
simply claiming to have verified one way or the other?  Perhaps filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General will result in the matter
being investigated and either addressed or dismissed.
