10 months of not paying school taxes in the City. Well, he's just keeping in line with the City - they've stiffed the schools as well.
Guess the DEMS do work together to rip the taxpayers off over and over and over again.

Working together works! For them-never you. We are seeing this over and over.
The City is folding like a cheap suit on every tax action.

Excellent reporting MC1.   This type of info. we need more of.   Then maybe it will get through to the taxpayers as a whole the sham that's perpetrated on the public.

Contact the Times Union (Paul Nelson or Michael Goodwin).  The Daily Gazette won't report this story.  Reporting on news is not their primary objective IMHO

Don't worry about that, Willie, there are reporters from both papers that actually come to this site to get what the news is, then write the story, adding in other facts that they collect on their own, sometimes.

Sooooooooooo.........has this little tid bit of explosive information been sent on to the media???

Perhaps mayor, council and Gillen are using taxpayers money to pay the newspapers to keep it quiet?

The cheerleaders (plural? for increasing taxes on the homeowners still totally silent

Just dawned on me.   STAR is "done" by the Office of Real property Services.    Gee, what socialist who used to be in Schenectady county government is now has a high paid political crony appointment in the Office of Real Property Services?

THere's a story about Cuomo having the IG's office investigate the pay of people in the non-profit sector of agencies that get taxpayer dollars, albeit medicaid funds, because of the high salary they get.

I think the IG's office should look into the six figure taxpayer salary that Morris is getting, the 100% tax exemption for all the huge money-making---means "for profit" stuff down at Proctors, since he does NOT provide services for the poor---no free tickets for poor children to a Braodway Disney show, no feeding the poor children at the taxpayer funded catering all, etc.

And no taxes paid on Proctors

And then this sneaky 2 STAR exemptions over seen by suzy savage herself!!!!!!!!!!

This is sort of hijacking the thread but I can't resist.

In regards to the story you mentioned about the IG investigation of nonprofits getting taxpayer dollars ie. Medicaid funding. Below is the link to it.

Now let's see if Cuomo and the IG starts investigating these other questionable issues you bring up like Proctors and taxes.

This is the story you are referring to.  After reading it just think of how many other non-profits are doing this.

Reaping Millions in Nonprofit Care for Disabled
By RUSS BUETTNER
Published: August 2, 2011

The brothers, Philip and Joel, earned close to $1 million a year each as the two top executives running a Medicaid-financed nonprofit organization serving the developmentally disabled.

They each had luxury cars paid for with public money. And when their children went to college, they could pass on the tuition bills to their nonprofit group.  More...  http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08.....-oversight.html?_r=1

Keep in mind this organization appears from the article to have a good reputation for quality care but that still does not excuse the issue of execs getting such outrageous salaries and the other abuses of Medicaid dollars.

Proctor's entire "operation" needs to be investigated and audited. The educational component for the tax exempt status needs to be yanked. There is no education going on. Everything is over pay as you go. And some want to put a Proctor's employee on the pathetic rubber stamp City Council?

A bunch of DEM political pigs feasting on the taxpayers carcasses. If you tell them to pay a Stratton Fair Share Tax, like every other major City nonprofit already does, they give you the middle finger. It's for the arts! It's for the arts!

Well, it's been how many days?

The one lone cheerleader for increasing taxes to give to the millionaires STILL has not responded to this thread.

He must be oh so embarrassed.

But then, he has no understanding of taxes and homeownership anyway, so he's probably not sure if it would be an appropriate time to spew that negativity phrase.

Wow, that big cheerleader "full of lies" has been on these boards.   STILL won't say a word about this rip off of the taxpayers AND violation of state law.   How come DV?

Keeps calling us that negativity terminology stuff.

I guess having two STAR exemptions is a positive thing for the taxpayers, for the homeowners who can't afford the taxes.

Ya know what's interesting?   It seems it's only me who he won't respond too.   Obviously because I'm so good at telling the truth and providing truth to backup my statements and he just can't find anything to disprove what I say

I have stated before and will state it again, it isn't negative to scrutinize government and point out instances of wrongdoing and incompetence. It is being a good citizen. In America, we have that right. Not only that right, it is a duty.

Well, how many days has it been?

DV STILL has refused to comment on this violation of state law by his taxpayer-paid buddy Morris.

Why no comment DV??????    Speeechless because you know what Morris is doing is against the law!

Wiith this blatant violation of state law, and resultant theft from the financially struggling homeowners in the city of Schenectady, do you, DV still support Morris getting more tax money and continue getting two STAR exemptions????
