Body found under Schenectady bridge; cause of death undetermined

SCHENECTADY -- City and Amtrak police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body discovered along railroad tracks under the bridge on Altamont Avenue this afternoon.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death, according to a police statement. The identity, sex and age had not been determined.
The body was discovered about 2 p.m. by a bicyclist who noticed a foul odor and discovered the corpse.
This is the entire story at this minute, but I'm sure it will be expanding. I realize we don't usually post the entire story, but this isn't that much. This is the bridge nearest the storage facility / Planet Fitness.
That's where that gangland-style slaying happened decades ago, I believe, back when Schenectady didn't have murders. The DA accidently gave immunity from prosecution to the perpetrator.
any news on this yet? I heard there was a homeless person who pitched a tarp and lived there a few years ago.
