It's this simple if things were half as great as the NEA "leader" says the City wouldn't have to go amend STATE LAW to screw the County out of $3 million caused by the glut of foreclosed houses.

Wow -- what a half-assed sense of logic you have. Houses aren't foreclosed on because of the success of a theater.
You folks are really grasping at straws when you make bone-headed comments like the one above.

"For this is what America is all about. It is the uncrossed desert and the unclimbed ridge. It is the star that is not reached and the harvest that is sleeping in the unplowed ground." Lyndon Baines Johnson
As usual you miss the point. There is no renaissance-there is a DEM led implosion. Theater can't revive anything. One leg of a stool. The City finances are in free fall. The City is broke because of all your "progress". Smoke and mirrors heavy on the smoke. Property values have collapsed because of DEM taxes and over spending on the "arts".
But the clueless DEM cheer leaders keep waving the pom poms from afar. In the middle of your alleged renaissance how come the City can't pay it's bills even to the County? Under DEM working together works how come none of the DEM County stooges complain about this unpaid bill? Proctor's has improved Morris's bank account nothing else.
