They turned off my mike in the band and wouldn't let me sing.....I can't sing but trying to sing while I am laughing at your lyrics at the same time is an impossibility. Only wish you could have included/rhymed with A$$MONKEY

Spent many a weekend at the Swimming Pool Casino on Rte 9, that was the place to go for a number of years along with the old College Inn.

I heard there was a band called Mutherflagancountry (spelled wrong?) back before I was old enough to know about bars and music and all of that (late 60s-early 70s) Does anyone know of them? GREAT NAME!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Yup...."Mother Flag and Country" if I recall was the house band at the Aerodrome.  I remember seeing them as opening act for name bands in the late 60's/early 70's....I believe it ws "THE BOXTOPS" that I saw around then when I was home on leave before going to Nam.

Interesting. I honestly don't remember the model car competitions, of course there's plenty I don't remember anymore. (CRS)
I graduated HS in '65, lived on the corner of Parklawn and Helderberg. We used to hang out at the little field down by the tracks. Sledding and snowballs in the winter, football in the fall. Great place to grow up.

Did your mom work at Grants?

And does anyone remember the Swiss Inn?
