Hamburgers at Carols were 15 cents!

At one time you could get a hamburger, a soda and fries -- hand the clerk $1 .. and get change.

Better yet -- 5 cent candy from Gray's Market

Sounds about right. They had classrooms all over town If I remember right, they were even having Kindergarden in the basement of Fisher Methodist.

That's where I went too for kindergarten. Mrs. Blood was my teacher's name. I can't believe I even remember that. Then to Bigsbee through 6th grade and then onto Mohonasen Jr/Sr. high. There was no such thing as pre-school or day care back then.

Now, since we are all approximately the same age, is everyone still working or retired? I'm still working.

I had Mr. Derensis for 6th grade too. I don't remember Mrs. Jewett, but that isn't saying much.
I will continue to work until I forget how to get there.

Hmmm...let's see I remember Mrs. Wiltsie for 2nd or 3rd grade, Mrs. Bowers also taught at Bigsbee and I'm pretty sure her husband Lyle was the gym teacher in those days. I think I'm a year older than both of you. At any rate I'll be 65 in Mar.

I decided to take my SS when I turned 62. I do some website work and play the occasional music gig for pocket money. Life is good.

I had Mrs. Wiltsie too and Mrs. Bowers...husband was gym teacher and reknowned soccer coach...lead Mohn soccer to several championships if I recall. You may recall Larry Bowers, their son, who was in a wheelchair...he was in my class.  His sister was several years younger.

So are you still on west coast or moved back? What kind of gigs are you getting?
