Of course not! Under DEM working together works everyone looks the other way at the same time. If someone looks at the problem or God forbid proposes a new solution-attack them-beat them up. A pile of rubble looks so much better than a long time employer-ROTFLMAO!! And these DEM are still pushing apartments in a City with 11% vacancy rate. There's no plan the same insanity over and over. No one will by condos because of 35 years of Dem "leadership" so build apartments.
After Rotterdam Junction - the most beautiful stretch of the Mohawk River is the one along ALCO site - either area would be a great place to live -- in the not too distant future.

Are you interested in the first rental? Just what the City needs more surplus housing. This will provide "renaissance" for the resale market that the DEMS imploded with their idiotic taxes and fees-lol.

Must be the aunties are tired of the mama's boy, but then heck, they are living high on the public dole, they might even be able to buy one of these condos that are supposed to be built. Only thing, wait until they see what the taxes will be. Surehas heck, no bank will EVER give an unemployed adult man who doesn't have a house or even an apartment an approval on a mortgage. Heck, I don't even thing FHA would give him a taxpayer backed mortgage
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

He will never move out of the Bates Motel, where his auntie provide three hots and a soiled cot.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Traversing back/forth over Freemans Bridge and gazing upon the site we still can't help but wonder: How could they locate the devel. sandwiched in between a nuclear power device/and a steel fabrication plant? In our opinion one way or another both will eventually vacate the premises via one of the two following scenarios: 1.They are so successful in selling the units they will need addit. room for expansion. 2.Sales are in fact impeded by the existence of these 2 eyesores requiring their dismissal from the site. Either way we feel it will somehow be a burden on the taxpayers as no doubt a Plex perk or Grant will be involved to move them (at least the steel plant) along. So as to keep them within the County. More Corp. welfare. Watch. An aside. It's been a shame to see the destruction of all the trees. One can only hope that the replanting equals/surpasses what was removed.
Someone should tell Schenectady officials and connected developers that mature trees add value to residential property. "High end", with everything razed flat just like every cheapo development? I don't think so. We are supposed to take the bus, switch lightbulbs, to conserve energy and prevent globalwarming, but rich developers are still allowed to destroy greenspace? Doesn't that do more damage than my incandescent bulb? How about the waste ofa whole neighborhood, the historic Stockade, let go to hell and the waste of building a new shiny replacement neighborhood on what was until recently considered rare, valuable industrial property? How did the same piece of property go from highly prized business property to unnecessary? Creating more vacancy doesn't help the neighborhoods. If some developer wanted to do it all on his own, that's one thing, but you know taxpayer dollars will subsidize this stupidity in some way.

DEM "planners" don't care about trees. They did the same thing at Stanford House. The developer crossed out every tree on the property and the Niskayuna town "planner" approved it.
No one wants an apartment at ALCO. These DEM idiots will force out the Steel Company and then have nothing. Another foot print for Death Ray! Since he is totally incompetent at bringing in any retail or any jobs more room for a park {for the City taxpayers to maintain} and a multi-modal bike path {for the City taxpayers to maintain}. It looks like s**t. This should be the site of massive reindustrialization with additional rail lines. Meanwhile, Mechanicville is getting a $40 MILLION privately built rail transport center which will bring in 100 high paying jobs. Metrograft keeps on flushing millions on arts and farts.
We really need industrial type jobs. I mean, everywhere could use them, but we have SO MANY idle men with strong backs. I went inside that Onestop with my young unemployed friend once, at the old location, and you could see that some members of that underclass we have are actively seeking work, with no suitable employment available. I was shocked to find out heavy labor (loading trucks, etc.) only gets you minimum wage, if you can find it. My grandfather was able to make a living through downturns in the economy because he was strong and willing to work hard. That means very little anymore. Remember that place on State near Brandywine that did some kind of electronic assembly or something? They hired people from the neighborhood, at better than minimum wage, but they moved out, and the politicians didn't take any notice of those jobs lost. I know for fact that there were someyoung men working there, maintaining themselves, who had before that been useless drains on society. SOME of that underclass is willing to work but part time minimum wage retail or service jobs don't motivate the hard to motivate.
More DEM moron "progress". Death Ray knocks down industrial buildings and ships all the bricks out of State because nothing is being built around here. They clear cut every tree. Unemployment at record highs-the City can't pay bill County or school taxes for the hundreds of vacant homes-and a couple of idiots here scream progress! Try implosion-try fiscal incompetents-try putting down the crack pipe.
