I totally disagree! The prosecution had a weak case right from the beginning. What were you going to convict her on?
THEORY?
They proved nothing and the jurors were smart enough to see that.

We have friends and family members that are either attorneys or judges. They all agreed that the prosecution didn't have a solid case and that the jurors decision was based on a case with 'holes in it'! And I agree!

Did she kill the little girl? Perhaps, but we'll never know. And the prosecution didn't prove it either cause even they didn't know! Their case was on theory only! The prosecution did a crappy job on this one!

If you ask jury EXPERTS, most will say a  case is won or lost at jury selection. That's why BOTH sides employed jury selection specialists.
With all the witness testimony, why the lack of note taking? Why did several courts observers say that the jury sat stone faced with their arms crossed during most of the prosecutions case?
I have a wife that works for a law firm, and most of her bosses thought the verdict was a travesty.
The prosecution did as much as it could with the evidence available. People have been convicted with less... see Scott Peterson. If the prosecution did anything wrong, it was not including a charge of endangering the welfare of a child or child abuse , which could have been easily proven since Casey had "no idea" where her child was for 31 days.

To convict Casey of murder the jury would have had to see her fingerprints on the duct tape, the plastic bag of remains, and her DNA in the bag. The prosecution did a good job with what they had to work with.

A jury in California had NONE of this and still Scott Peterson is sitting in jail for life

All I was saying is that this particular jury would have needed all of that evidence before they would have found her guilty. I agree, Casey got away with murder.

Some people are GUILTY, but the evidence isn't there to prove their guilt.  In our system of laws, they must go free.  It's a flawed system but in most cases it works.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

A leopard doesn't change it spots...
Casey is mentally deficient. Getting away with murder will convince her she can get away with anything.
Her life will be filled of ruined relationships and brushes with the law at the very least.
She will be a life long train-wreck, especially after her looks are gone.

Maybe Casey will do just as OJ did and end up in jail anyway.

The second biggest tragedy after Caylee's death is the damage that loud mouth Nancy Grace inflicted on the Anthony family using inflammatory language for years leading up to this trial.  She spent years convicting the woman and her family in the court of public opinion on her TV show.  Then when the trial is over and the jury finds the Casey not guilty, the Anthony family begins receiving death threats because of years of inflammatory and hyperbolic language used by this ratings whore.  It's like we are back to the days of the Salem Witch Trials.

When my youngest son was in kindergarten he was taking the bus to Hamilton school and  I would be waiting for him at the corner. One day the bus stops and my son does not get off, I asked the bus driver where is my son !! She said is he a white boy. I said yes. She said she dropped him off at Carver Day Care. I said he dosen't go to Carver all the while my heart is pounding in my chest. I ran home and called Carver, he wasn't there. Called the school, what happened is the aides forgot to put him on the bus and he was sitting in the office.

In that 10 minute time frame I had so many emotions in my head and heart mostly were is my son and is he ok.

My next call after the school would have been the police department.

I CANNOT and NEVER will understand how Casey went all that time without telling anyone where Caylee was, and how she could go out and party and act like there was nothing wrong.

Like I posted in my first post I did'nt think enough forensic evidence for 1st degree, but at least manslaughter and child abuse. The talk is between her giving interviews to some talk shows, a book deal and movie deal she will be making hundreds of thousand of dollars.

And I agree about the Nancy Grace Show, when this first started she did a good job of getting the word out on "missing' Caylee, but then her show went down hill, watching was like reading the Enquirer.

There is a young man sitting in a federal prison, he is from the Troy area. I cannot get into specifics but law enforement from the FBI, state police etc. charged him with unbelievable crimes, he never hurt anyone, never threatened anyone, but was labeled a terrorist. He will serve his entire sentence and will have the label of felon on his record. He will have a problem getting a job. He will forever be  a target. He has not recieved counseling as ordered by the judge or the necessary medications for pain from an accident he had. Due to not having money for his own attorney he got a public defender who told him just to plea the sentence would be light. Well due to a DA etc his sentence was not light. He was a decent young man when he went into prison, I am afraid what he will be when he gets out : (

The Anthony family got what they deserved. One, if not all of the members of the family KNOW what happened to Caylee, at the very least, if not actually the perpetrators. What Nancy Grace did to them will pale in comparison to the price they will pay in the future.

What should happen, and I hope does,  is that the fake nanny and Caseys' family members should sue her for defamation so that any profit she makes on the death of her daughter is gone

Actually a woman whose name is Zenaida Gonzales is suing her.  And she had the stolen check charges  don't know if any of the time she spent in jail is part of that or if it will be seperate.

As for her parents I truly believe they loved Caylee very much. But they knew Casey was stealing from them, they had to know she wasn't working (were were her pay checks?) and in enabling her so much she got away with murder.

I just checked and the defamation trial for Z. Gonzales against Casey A. is in August.

The best thing Casey could do is hire a GOOD PR rep.
It would go a long way with people if she set a scholarship fund in the name of her daughter and donate a significant amount of the proceeds for interviews, book deals, etc, to it.

But, I think Casey is so self-centered and flawed, she won't do it.
She'll continue to self-destruct until she lands in jail or kills herself.

A man recently convicted of killing a dog gets a year in jail.

Parents hire a convicted sex offender to watch their daughter and she is raped by him.

Common sense has left humanity. A dogs life has become more important than a childs. We are more willing to forgive rapist than we are protecting the welfare of our children. Casey Anthony is just another example that being a bad mother can have little to no ramifications.

Yes, the prosecution failed, but the perception in society is that even if a child dies, the mother is not responsible. She'll either be making money on Celebrity Rehab or the Apprentice in the next year.

Death Threats?  Are you saying that if a member of the Anthony family is killed, they are just getting what they deserve?

Americans sit around and watch the "made for TV" trial on for 1 hour a night on cable TV, and now they think they can act as the jury and have ALL the information to convict a person to life in prison or even death.  Do I think the Anthony family KNOWS what happened to Caylee?  Yes.  Do I think the death of Caylee was pre-meditated, NO based on the evidence I've seen, based on the limited spoon fed information by those who profit off of a sensationalized form of news reporting.
