Kids wearing helmets to receive free ice cream tickets
Police are hoping to hand out many tickets this summer, but these tickets are a reward to local children.
Assemblyman James Tedisco, R-Glenville, announced the kick off of The Safe Summer program on Tuesday, June 28, outside the Glenville Police Department. The annual program, now in its 14th year, rewards children with “good tickets” for a free ice cream cone if they are wearing their helmet while bicycling, skateboarding, rollerblading or riding their scooter.
