Ski team shouldn’t monopolize river

    I am a boater and this is my eighth season docked on the Mohawk River [Holly Marine, off Freeman’s Bridge Road in Scotia]. While trying to enjoy a nice sunny Father’s Day, we were once again abruptly interrupted by the Ski Patrol, who unfairly seem to block off certain areas at the most inappropriate times, forcing other boaters to seek out secondary sites to fish or enjoy the river.
I understand the ski team needs to practice, but they seem to take advantage of the situation and use prime times to do it, thus monopolizing the river.
We have been paying good money for docking the boat and appreciate when boating etiquette is followed by all. It would be nice if the ski team could follow suit and make the river more accessible and pleasant to all.

Then dock at Arrowhead

The Ski team was no more right to the Mohawk than anyone else. They are not a municipal authority If it    were me, I wouldn't have moved unless a Sheriffs boat ordered me to. If they did, the next thing I would do is take photos and contact my attorney.
