Step down? You must mean step up. Bob G has had enough of the town all DEM funny farm and is blasting off to the County. He sees his opportunity and is taking it. Let's see for once what the DEMS want-not who the party bosses inflict on them.

He probably stepped down cause FDG is a goofball and this years budget in the town will be a disaster....so he is running away from both.  He will have no chance of winning anything.

If bob had any decency as a human being after his resounding defeat he'd resign from the board entirely and never go out in public again!

I second that motion.

Sounds like Rotterdam/Schenectady is having its own rise of the Third Reich.  Banishing the party non-conformist while the cops and the Democrats attempt to consolidate their power county wide.

Bob Godlewski  chose to leave the Democratic Party when he hired Brendan Quinn (a GOP hatchet man) to run his campaign against 2 officially endorsed candidates    and when he and his team resorted to using dirty tricks(details will follow in the next 6 weeks) against his opponents.

He has the right to run for in a primary --- but to declare war on the Town Democratic Committee and its endorsed candidates .. to resort to low-life gutter politics is way beyond the pale.

He has burned his bridges and might as well do something decent for a change --- resign from the town committee and join a party that runs according to his principles ... the closest I can think of would be the Stalinist Communist Party.
