The Department of Labor issued a weekly report Thursday morning that showed a significant decline
in new claims for state unemployment benefits.
Wall Street had expected a meager decline of 1,000 claims, but instead the figures fell by 12,000,
the largest drop in over a month. Added to the latest figures for new job creation, showing the addition
of 201,000 private-sector jobs in August.

She acted like she was talking to the education level of union autoworkers. She hit a homerun.

Some people open their mouths and $hit falls out... Others type and have a similar result...

Jennifer Mulhern Granholm  is a Canadian-born American politician, educator, author and political
commentator who served as Attorney General and 47th Governor of the U.S. state of Michigan.
A member of the Democratic Party, Granholm became Michigan's first female governor on
January 1, 2003, when she succeeded Governor John Engler.

Granholm was re-elected on November 7, 2006, and was sworn in for her second and,
due to term limits, final term on January 1, 2007

And since GWB started the TARP program, he should get some credit...

And lets be clear, US automakers problem were not just because of the 2008 recession...their management, union contracts, and inferior products all played a big part. GM needed a new CEO and Chrysler needed FIAT.

Yes she is and...

Lucky for her it was....because her Democratic candidate successor was TROUNCED!
In a state with Detroit, and the labor unions, they couldn't have been too happy with the Dems.

I have no idea who replaced her.  I assume it was a choice like most elections are based on a variety of reasons.
The fact remains she did a good job and was reelected as governor...
Your original post had some doubt about why she left ...
FORMER GOVERNOR, remember???

POLL: OBAMA APPROVAL UP 7 POINTS AFTER DNC |
President Obama’s approval rating climbed to 52 percent, his highest rating in many months, according
to Gallup’s latest poll. The last three days of the Democratic National Convention gave him a 7 percent
bump in approval over three days, with a 3 percent hike in just the past 24 hours. Mitt Romney received
no bump in the polls from the RNC, dropping from 47 percent before the convention to 46 percent. The
DNC also surpassed the RNC in ratings; even competing with the opening night of NFL football,
more people tuned in to Bill Clinton’s DNC speech than the second half of the Cowboys-Giants game.
