GE didn't pay income taxes, auto industry received billions in bailouts, big banks received TRILLIONS in bailouts and "quantitative easing".  I hope DJI companies are showing profits with my money.

Yes, I'm of the 50% that actually work and PAY federal taxes.  Somebody has to pay the TRILLIONS of government debt..  It's not only the government debt but also the inflation debt the fed created.

Box is actually bragging about Obama socializing losses and privatizing profit.

Your a smart one like the rest of the lemming replaces watching the DOW.  You know the index like all other indexes remove the losers and put in winners.

The DOW is going up because the "to big to fail" are getting even more "bigger to fail".    Keep drinking the cool aid.

I prefer to call them DIMWITS!!

The stock market rises because corporations are dumping money into the system. It is all a fallacy and pure manipulation!!!It's a crap shoot! Just ask some folks who do 'insider trading'!   DIMWITS!!

Speaking to the United Auto Workers union in Michigan, President Obama proclaimed that the private sector didn't save GM and Chrysler but in fact it was the "tax dollars" he had allocated to the failing car companies.

Obama also claimed that Ford, the company that did not take a government bailout, would have gone down without his intervention and the entire nation would have spiraled into a great depression.

Yes, I'm of the 50% that actually work and PAY federal taxes.  Somebody has to pay the TRILLIONS of government debt..  It's not only the government debt but also the inflation debt the fed created.

Like Cicero, I've paid taxes for almost my entire adult life.
~"MY MONEY", as Cic puts it, has helped pay for the debt from WW1 and WW2, Korea, Vietnam etc etc etc.
That's not where I wanted  "MY MONEY" to go, but like all Americans I had to pay my share for what was
done before me.
~  "MY MONEY" also went to pay for the Interstate Highway system that Cicero, and many Americans use
daily.  Cic doesn't want "HIS MONEY" to pay for roads or bridges...
Cicero prefers a path through the woods for All Americans!
~"MY MONEY" went to pay for Cicero's education.  His kindergarten, his elementary school, his high school, and '
if he attended college, some of "MY MONEY" went there too.  (I fear that on Cic, my money was wasted)
~When Cicero was a toddler he received immunizations to keep him healthy, paid for with "MY MONEY".
~When Cic takes a drink of water, it's "MY MONEY" that insures the water is safe, clean and abundant.   His
sewer, his power, his public transportation, his parks, playgrounds, his sports facilities for Cicero when he was
growing up... "MY MONEY" paid for all of em!
~Cicero's health care... doctors, nurses, equipment, staff, hospitals... were all paid for with "MY MONEY"!
~ "MY MONEY", and that of countless other Americans, paid to make this country great, to keep it safe
and to provide a place where business and commerce can thrive like no where else in the world.
~When Ronny Reagan was building his 600 ship Navy, I disagreed, but "MY MONEY" was used to build those
ships.  When George Worst Bush wanted to invade Iraq and ignore BinLaden... "MY MONEY" (and my kids and
grandkids money) paid for that fiasco.
~"MY MONEY" is gladly given to promote a country that will prosper with all of us each spending "OUR MONEY"
to take care of the country and each other.

Cicero wants HIS MONEY to keep for himself.  Selfish? Yes.  Short sighted? Definitely!
Cic thinks:  "IT'S MY MONEY, AND I AM GONNA KEEP IT"!  (while the rest of us pay his share).

Cic is the typical selfish spoiled (usually Conservative) ME FIRST American who only thinks of himself and
no one else.  I wish that Cic could live in a world full of his ME FIRST Americans and see just how dismal
life would be with Cic, holed up in a cabin in the woods, with a shotgun pointing out the window as he starves
or dies from lack of health care... Most Americans would prefer to live in OUR America... the America that
Cic and his small ME FIRST group shun.

WOW Box, nice rant...Unfortunately your rant doesn't even come close to addressing my post.  My "my money" reply was to your post showing the PRIVATE COMPANIES listed on the Dow Jones Industrial average at 13,000.  When PRIVATE COMPANIES receive TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars, and there is TRILLIONS of taxpayer money floating around on Wall Street, the Dow Jones average BETTER show some financial gains.

It looks like according to box's rant, the taxpayer should always hold themselves and their money SECOND to companies like Solyndra, General Electric, GM, Chrysler, Goldman Sachs...Since these BIG BUSINESSES have a RIGHT to your money.

My apologies Box...I don't know what I was thinking. I should be asking for the government to take MORE of my money by force so they can pay the corporate tycoons.  It's the American way...I see now, I am "anti-American" and I didn't even realize it Box.  You really opened my eyes to my selfishness and greed, only if I could have given more money to the failed bankers and CEO's.

I am sorry my post got you so worked up...I didn't realize you had such strong feelings for Wall St and the Dow Jones companies.  I will try to give more money and I will call my Congressman to see if he can give more money to Wall Street bankers like Goldman Sachs, so they can take that money and contribute to Obama's campaign.

As you can see... It was a waste of "MY MONEY" sending Cic to school.

As you can see, when box gets embarassed by my post, he attempts to redirect.

Box starts bringing up funding for WWI, WWII, interstate highways, and schools as an argument justifying giving trillions to the banks and auto companies.  Very bizzare!

Looks like Box and Obama are looking out for the Wall Street corporations.  Even ThinkProgress is cheering corporate profits after trillions in taxpayer bailouts and an unknown amount in currency inflation.

Who's Redirecting???
My post was about paying MY MONEY in taxes.  I don't mind paying my taxes, when they are well spent, a view
that I think is shared by most Americans.

The amount of "MY MONEY" spent on stabilizing the US Auto industry, IMO, is Dollars well spent, and an
investment in the future for those ONE MILLION JOBS.

(The amount of "MY MONEY" spent on Cicero's education... was a total failure and a waste of
taxpayer dollars     )

Oh...That's call "stabilizing"?  What about the rest of the people in America that lost their jobs?  Didn't they deserve taxpayer "stabilizing"?  I guess you didn't care about the MILLIONS of other jobs that were lost, just auto workers...Maybe you should offer YOUR MONEY to those other people out of work.

Cic can't stand it that Obama is so successful, while the Republicans continue to be the party of NO!

Just think of how many American jobs would have been created if the Republican Congress actually passed
a JOBS BILL...
The GOP agenda has nothing to do with Jobs, or the Economy or even Health care...
The only Republican agenda today was coined by Druggy Rush Loudmouth...
"We Hope He Fails"... and America right along with him.

Success?  If doubling gas prices, inflating food prices, enriching corporations on Wall Street with tax payer money, and 9% unemployment and even more under employment is success, I guess I would beg to differ.

BTW...Obama and the democrats controlled both Houses of Congress and the White House for 2 years and could have passed ANY legislation they would like(and they did).  They didn't pass a budget or a "jobs bill".

Obama and the Democrats are the party of failed yes'.
