New CBO Report Decimates 'Obamanomics': Real Unemployment Hits 15%

“The rate of unemployment in the United States has exceeded 8 percent since February 2009, making the past three years the longest stretch of high unemployment in this country since the Great Depression. Moreover, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects that the unemployment rate will remain above 8 percent until 2014. The official unemployment rate excludes those individuals who would like to work but have not searched for a job in the past four weeks as well as those who are working part-time but would prefer full-time work; if those people were counted among the unemployed, the unemployment rate in January 2012 would have been about 15 percent. Compounding the problem of high unemployment, the share of unemployed people looking for work for more than six months—referred to as the long-term unemployed—topped 40 percent in December 2009 for the first time since 1948, when such data began to be collected; it has remained above that level ever since.”

The head of Media Matters for America -- now out coordinating a new super PAC to help President Obama get reelected -- is operating his nonprofit organization in close coordination with the Obama White House, a new investigative report out Monday says.

David Brock, according to the Daily Caller, has collected a $250,000 annual salary for his work at MMFA, which includes daily screeds against Fox News Channel and other media outlets that allow conservative perspectives in their reporting.

Media Matters manipulating headlines?

Daily Caller online editor Vince Coglianese on investigation

Brock's group, founded in 2004, is spending $20 million this year in a campaign to influence news coverage that sheds a positive image on the current administration as well as progressives and lawmakers in Congress.

And the campaign is going well, according to a former employee who told the DC that "virtually all the mainstream media" has used Media Matters' research.

"We were pretty much writing their prime time," the ex-employee was quoted saying of MSNBC.

The first post was from the CBO and the second post was from the Daily Caller. Your lame stream media won't post anything unless Media Matters approves it so don't look for any truth from them.

Strange... Just yesterday, Bumbler posted a very favorable Ron Paul story from Rachel Maddow and even
remarked that the only place he's seen it on the MSM was on MSNBC!

See post #1743 on the 'Ron Paul For President" thread:

Quoted from bumblethru
"Looks like Maddow is the only one reporting on this, huh?"

Birth Control Moms

Will 2012 be the year of the “birth control moms”?
Just a few weeks ago, the notion would have seemed far-fetched. The country is deeply divided on abortion,
but not on contraception; the vast majority of American women have used it, and access hasn’t been a
front-burner political issue since the Supreme Court decided Griswold v. Connecticut in 1965.
But then Rick Santorum said states ought to have the right to outlaw the sale of contraception.
And Susan G. Komen for the Cure yanked its funding for Planned Parenthood.
And the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops teed off on President Barack Obama’s contraception policy.
And House Republicans invited a panel of five men — and no women — to debate the issue.
And a prominent Santorum supporter pined for the days when “the gals” put aspirin “between their knees” to
ward off pregnancy.

Politics is an ever changing game, always in flux, but so far this year it is NOT been a good year to be
a Republican running for office!
