Saturday was MS service day and some WONDERFUL volunteers came to my home to clean my kitchen really good and do yard work. They asked if the city picks up bagged leaves etc and I said yes they will be here tuesday.

These people worked in the pouring rain Saturday for hours, cutting down overgrown brush etc.

After they left I saw the bags were put out by the curb, but also some that was not bagged. So I bought bags to bag the rest myself so it would be ready tommorrow. Well i get home from my daughters and my neighbor said the city was taking pictures of the pile and bags.

My question is do you get a warning first or a fine?  I do have it all cleaned up for in the morning for pick up, all in bags and sticks tied in small bundles.

I realize it was out early but the volunteers must of figured due to the pouring rain they would fall apart by tuesday and they carried it all out for me. I couldn't ask them to carry it all back in the yard : ( after all the work they did.

Took pictures of it all cleaned up and pictures of the leaf bags all neatly infront of my house.

Only once many years ago I put my trash out on the wrong day, it was right after Thanksgiving about 10 years ago and I got fined : ( It was one plastic garbage bag. Crap.

I think I would post the photos somewhere and link them to this site along with your post.   Then print it.

Be the squeaky wheel.

Hey, better yet, call TV channel NOW.   Call all 5, someone is bound to come.

Does your camera have a video mode that you can do a little video.  And how about a macro lens on your camera to take a close up of the notice you got from the city.  Do you have any information about this service day.   And all this goes hand in hand and especially on TV.

Now, I'm just listening to Joe Allen on TV whining (and to some extent justified) about peole who store trash in front of the house.   That means storing it 24/7.  As much as he's quite unintelligent, I would reference his comments at the council meeting and challenge his statements by asking him why you were getting a fine given the circumstances.   That's another issue, let the scum lord and scum tenants off the hook, make you pay the taxes of the millionaires downtown, and then fine you for a hardship

For shame on the city.  Who agrees?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Joe Allen is a very intelligent man  ... there is no room in this community for the Racially motivated hate talk of  people like  MC.   It is about time that MC was a taught a lesson and made to realize that this is  2011in a vibrant and diverse nation and NOT  the 1911 in the Jim Crow South.

Unintelligent is now racially motivated speech?  You are a gem DV.  I hope you're just trolling and not really one who uses liberal political correctness to silence opposition to the political party you belong to.  I know you don't like MC, but pulling the race card instead of challenging him/her on issues pretty much destroyed any serious reputation you may have had on this message board.

By using racism as a rhetorical political weapon, it really does great damage to instances of actual racism.  But...Dems will debase something as serious as racism if it means retaining political power.

Joe Allen, like most on the city council are intelligent challenged!!! The folks who do take care of their property are the ones being penalized for the scum bag, section 8, slumlords. A city of scum that the liberal socialist dems have proudly created.

Intelligent challenged politicians keep their positions by inviting the intelligent challenged here to live and forever keep them dumbed down.  Schenectady is the poster child for this one!

OK fool, you sound like your Uncle Al Sharpyton now! Hucksterism and race baiting must run in the family.
