Why are the taxpayers paying for an ad in the paper to tell employees this.

I mean, can't the city handwrite on a piece of looseleaf paper and hang it up in the hallways?

OK, there are retirees.    Still, why do the taxpayers have to pay for an ad to tell retirees something that is written in their benefit books?

And by the way, you CAN add dependents and change to family coverage ANYTIME of the year, one does not need to wait til "open enrollment."   Most employees in most employers have pre-tax, and if your husband or wife has carried the insurance but leaves his/her job, then you can change to famiily coverage effective the same date as spouse's coverage ends.

Also I notice that MVP is the only plan.  No choices.   I wonder what happens if a city employee gets divorced and the ex has the child and they move out of the MVP service area.  MVP mostly has been a plan where you can't get routine care outside of their service area.  Ah, I got it, this is the way the dems think they are going to prevent city retirees from moving to retiree hot spots.    Unless does MVP offer a traditional indemity plan these days?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
