Well, I can tell you that it's been a shorter time than the Curry Road Shopping Plaza.

At least 8 years. But the closed for remodeling sign was taken down last year. This is all very indicative of "renaissance"-DEM moron style.

The Ground Round closed because of troubles that the parent company was having nationally.

KFC closed because it gave lousy service and fewer people are eating high fat, high cholesterol fast food
anymore.

You self-absorbed prats blame us when a business closes ... blame us when a business opens --- the whole lot of you are obviously mentally unbalanced.

One does NOT have to travel to Saratoga County to get good food or good furniture or good bedding.

Two of the best restaurants in the whole Capital District are in Woodlawn -- Blue Ribbon and Dolce Vita.
Raymour & Flanagan is just a few thousand feet across the city-line in Niskayuna.

You haven't seen such traffic b/c it used to move along, now it is stopped and backed up for miles. What used to take 5 minutes now takes 10 minutes or twenty. People don't use the turn lanes b/c being from foreign countries, they don't understand our road rules, and the lights are now set up to stop you at each one. It has become a maddening experience and trffic on Albany street has exploded because of it as people are trying to avoid State.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Says the person who constantly reminds us to shop local small business (defining local as within 100 miles, and not necessarily located within A) the capital region or B) New York State).

Very Nice DVOR    Here a few months back we have a discussion about how McCarthy stigmatizes mental illness and you feel the need to do it all the time.
I didn't see you down there upset how citizens are treated, just because you don't live in the city dosen't mean you cannot speak at the meetings.

But I guess you and McCarthy and all the other ones who think there shi* don't stink could care less how you treat others.

Here you talk about how your family helped "build" St. Adalberts and come on how good a Catholic you are. So your one of the ones who loyally go to church and make yourself feel better, but then when you leave all compassion, love and goodness goes right out of your head.

Well I don't go to church and I can tell you I have more love in my little finger than you have in your swelled head.

And my family will be going back to St. Adalberts as I hear a new priest is there. : )

I know it is hard for you and your ilk to comprehend even simple concepts -- but I will try to one more time:

Actually -- what I said was that I prefer to shop at  family owned/locally owned small business that sell productsgrown or produced locally  within 100 miles    (the 100 miles is the definition of "local area" that several national   "buy local" movements recognize.

You can go into a chain store in Rotterdam and buy a product made in China -- that is NOT buying locally.

I can go into a family owned store in western Massachusetts and buy a product that was made right there --- THAT iS BUYING LOCALLY

ROTFLMAO!! A diner is now one of the best restaurants in the Capital District! Enjoy the seafood platter!
R&F is a crappy overpriced chain out of Syracuse. OMG! So much for patronizing locally owned businesses.

Or you can go to Niskayuna and buy from a crappy chain furniture store that sells products from China. That's not buying local either although recommended by someone who is obviously loco.

Get your facts straight:

I am Catholic .. but I have never qualified that by saying I was good or better than anyone else.

The parish has a deacon serving as parish  life coordinator but does not have a new priest.

And -- from your post  .. you are the one who sounds rather judgemental.

I've experienced the traffic tie-ups mentioned. It's only certain times of day, but it must be a real headache for those who need to travel at those times. Backed up traffic at the lights blocks people from turning in or out of businesses.
Anyone try the new chicken place at the old Brandywine Diner? I'm kind of afraid to. Is it a chain, does anyone know?

the traffic has been flowing quite well along State Street -- only the NNNs are too ignorant to figure out how to drive when there is a turning lane.

Actually, I did not recommend them -- I stated a fact  -- the fact is that you do NOT have to travel to Saratoga County to buy furniture.

As for the quality of their furniture, Raymour & Flanagan has a variety of qualities and the one item that I purchased from that store was NOT made in China and has actually served us quite well for almost 20 years.

That never stopped him from speaking before to praise City DEMS or great community events. As a supporter of St A's there was a wall of silence from DVR and other DEMS here when DEM City Council lifer Denise Brucker made her moronic comments about taxing the church. MT, BT and I pushed the issue until she retreated. Maybe he spoke in private but his support was wholly absent here. Let's see if he pushes her re-election again. It's one thing to attend church meetings its another to defend the parish from threats from your own party.
