He never should have resigned. He didn't break the law. Shame on the democrats for pushing him in to that. Reps never would have done it. They have had lots of scandal and stay in their terms. The media caused this

Are you kidding AK? Rep Chris Lee resigned after 1 day for tweeting photos of him shirt less. Weiner is a pig. What's the matter with the DEM morons that think this is OK? The final press conference was another circus. Tweet your resignation since you enjoy that format. He should appear with Spitzer on CNN new show " A Couple of Putzs".

If they break the law or are charged with breaking a law, then resignation is an option.  Otherwise... let the voters decide.
Republicans who DIDN'T RESIGN:
Mark Sanford:The governor of South Carolina
David Vitter: Louisana Senator
John Ensign: Senator of Nevada
Randy Hopper:The Republican State Senator of Wisconsin
Vito Fossella: The Representative of New York

Another cut and paste from Daily Kooks? Except Sen Ensign did resign. Vito served out his term but did not run for re-election. Randy Hooper? Now we are dropping down to State offices to find REP Weiner's. He put his mistress on the State payroll? WOW!-sounds like Gov Patterson. The key is he's from Wisconsin with that evil REP governor who actually wants to balance the State budget.

I absolutely agree with  you!!! Whether you think he was wrong, should have resigned or is just a pig doesn't really  matter. The media took it and ran with it, just like they did with 'sarah palin's emails to nowhere'!!!

The United States has young men and women risking their lives in FOUR wars, a world economy on the brink of collapse and yet the media finds Weiner's weiner and palins emails as FRONT PAGE news!!

Sarah Palin had emails??  Wow--who knew.  Her brand is over.  She is a know-nothing.  I agree Weiner should NEVER have resigned.  Dems were pretty stupid here.  They quickly deserted him.  Although amusing that Bill Clinton kicked his a$$--gotta love Bill.

It's apparent that  you missed the entire point here!!! I doesn't matter about weiner's weiner or palin's emails to nowhere!! It is a media frenzy to avoid reporting the 'important' issues. It's all smoke and mirrors and apparently you got caught up in their hype by continuing to feed the media's  dog and pony circus act frenzy!!

I have a friend that I talk to at least every day she  has never heard of Anthony Wiener and probably never will.  She is young, has a 4 year college degree, does not watch TV ( disconnected cable last year ) or read the newspaper- but  she does know who Jimmy Choo is .

NY GOP taps retired exec to run for Weiner seat

Associated Press
NEW YORK — Republican leaders have chosen a candidate to compete in a special New York election to replace Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Robert Turner, a retired media executive, will be the party's nominee in the Sept. 13 contest.

Turner ran unsuccessfully against Weiner in the general election last year.

Democrats nominated state Assemblyman David Weprin as their candidate on Friday. He's favored to win the heavily Democratic district, which covers parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

Weiner resigned last month in the middle of his 7th term after admitting he sent sexually suggestive photos and texts to women he met online.

Anthony Weiner’s wife not only took him back, she took him back in style — moving with the shamed pol into a luxurious, $3.3 million Manhattan pad owned by a deep-pocketed Democratic donor, The Post has learned.
After quitting his Queens House seat amid a notorious sexting scandal, Weiner and beautiful, brainy spouse Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, landed in the sprawling, 12th-floor Park Avenue trophy residence owned by Rosen Partners LLC, which is headed by close Clinton pal Jack Rosen, records show.......................>>>>.....................>>>>...........Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/luxe_on_his_side_B1j7VxzVuwhwa8aSoHxLPJ#ixzz23QQMANID
