Take a ride down Broadway and the DSS building, that's the Renaissance the plex and the County has created.
A City of no jobs and people forced to receive hand outs.
The legacy is of a perpetuated state of unemployment. You do that when you FAIL to bring in jobs and chose to spend 10 million for a stage at Proctors. Hard to buy a $100 theater ticket with food stamps.
Rachel.....they fail to recognize or even acknowledge that there is a 'created' uneducated, dumbed down, uniformed, government subsidized society. They also fail to recognize or even acknowledge that there are 'some' hard working folks that can no longer afford the high taxes/fees for not only themselves but also for the non-exempt businesses. It is a reality and a main part of schenectady's residents that 'they' choose NOT to acknowledge! Sad!

The Dems in Schenectady are a success due to the huge number of people on welfare, unemployment, and food stamps because according to the Obama administration all of those on these public assistance programs are creating jobs tic.

This hotel is one of the numerous failures of an un-coordinated economic development team lead by typical racist white males and big business interests "the good lod boys club" if you will. Now with the correct political leaders including Karen Johnson, Ms. Vellano and Ms. Dagsotino you will see these mistakes finally fixed since the new team we do have in place is surely working overtime to fix what Honolulu Hugh and his ilk have dumped on us for years. Bravo.

Because after all, with these 3 beacons of hope on the county legislature, everything is just blue skies and fun all day, not a bad thing to be said at all with everything going on, right? Oh, I forgot, they still have those 2 evil minority racist whitr Republicans running the entire show at the County. Never mind. As many people agree with what they're doing as the number of people that watch Bravo (and that isn't many).
Right GG let's support these DEM "planners" that bought the Trustco HQ for top dollar and let it rot. Gillen's Gulch looks mighty fine. Retail? What retail? Kohl's goes in Amsterdam not Schenectady County. Take a stroll below Erie Blvd. and tells us about "progress". Another body, another pit bull attack, another building collapses. But don't blame the DEMS who have imploded the City. That's too mean, partisan and honest.

Wow, how quickly the DEM party is turning against one another. Using the SS slogan of the 'good old boys club'...they're all YOUR boys!?! Your policies! Really, after all the puffing up for Gillen. Gertie showing her true grit by alienating herself from the party.
Not quite the most politically savvy move, but who could expect anything less.
Parker Inn owner challenges foreclosure sale Thursday, August 25, 2011 By Michael Lamendola (Contact) Gazette Reporter
SCHENECTADY — An attorney for the corporation that owns the Parker Inn said he expects to stop a pending foreclosure action against the downtown boutique hotel by filing a new petition for federal Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Attorney Richard Weiskopf said he will file the new petition prior to Sept. 21, the date set by the Supreme Court of New York in Schenectady County to sell the 434 State St. property. Christopher Myers is the principal managing partner in Parker Building LLC, which owns the Parker Inn. “The new filing will put us on equal footing with the lender, so that the bankruptcy process will do what it is intended to do,” Weiskopf said. “This protects the entity and allows the entity to continue on and to renovate and upgrade” the hotel. First Niagara Bank, which holds a first priority mortgage on the property, initiated foreclosure proceedings. It is owed $596,715, of which $305,952 is unsecured. Other creditors are the Empire State Certified Development Corp., formerly the New York State Business Development Corp., owed $669,305, the full amount of which is unsecured; and the Metroplex Development Authority, owed $683,912, the full amount of which is unsecured. First in line for any repayment is American Tax Funding, which holds a lien for $125,038 in unpaid property taxes. Parker Building also owes $15,741 in 2010-11 city and county taxes and $43,457 in 2010-11 school taxes. The corporation owes Myers $214,700, plus $42,000 to his development corporation, Concord Development. Both amounts are unsecured. The corporation also owes $3,000 to four small investors, also unsecured........................>>>>....................................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2011/aug/25/0825_parker/

Prime Cos. will operate 17 Parker Inn rooms as corporate apartments The Business Review by Neil Springer, Managing Editor Date: Monday, July 23, 2012, 11:44am EDT - Last Modified: Monday, July 23, 2012, 2:45pm EDT
A Prime Cos. unit will renovate and operate 17 rooms in the Parker Inn as corporate apartments, says Chris Myers, owner of the hotel in Schenectady.
Prime Cos., one of the largest commercial real estate developers in the Albany, New York area, Monday began to turn 17 of the 23 rooms at the Parker Inn in downtown Schenectady into Oakwood ExecuStay corporate apartments. Prime will invest over $300,000 to convert the 17 rooms. The apartments will be operated by Prime Cos. unit Albany Corporate Housing LLC—which already operates more than 50 ExecuStay units in the area—as part of a five-year lease with renewal options, said Chris Myers, owner of the Parker Inn. The value of the lease was not released. Myers said the bulk of the renovations consists of putting kitchens in each of the 17 rooms, some new flooring and new furnishings. The remaining six rooms, used for nightly rentals, will be upgraded. Myers said he expects the Parker Inn will exit Chapter 11 bankruptcy within 30 days. The boutique hotel, which opened nine years ago in a formerly vacant building downtown, reported $2.39 million in debts and $951,458 in assets when it filed for bankruptcy last year. As part of Parker Building LLC’s reorganization plan, all back taxes have been brought up to date, with a payment of nearly $200,000 to the city of Schenectady..........................>>>>.....................>>>>...................http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2012/07/23/prime-cos-begins-corporate-apartment.html
What? You are having a difficult time trying to pay the taxes? Tough sh*t.
Thank you also to Brian Stratton for exempting me from paying some of the taxes.
Sincerely, Chris Myers

Yes, people, print these pages out and send it to the comptroller to be part of their audit so they know where the taxpayers' money goes!

VanDyke, Cornells, Parker Inn. All bankrupt-failed Plex projects which the taxpayers are funding over and over again for them to fail over and over again.
That $300,000 'investment' amount.....smells like Metroplex is involved. And the lease details are not available. That's TOTALLY a plex move!
How much did Gillen bribe this guy to take over a bankrupt project?
