According to a just released survey from the Capital District Regional Planning Commission Schenectady has by far the highest taxes in the region. This comes as no surprise to anyone but the cheer leaders here and at the Gazetto. Worst schools/worst politicians/worst roads/worst taxes. Scotia is number 4 on the list and rising fast with village and town taxes. Both Niskayuna and Rotterdam also made the top twenty worst. All 4 communities have been driven into the ground by DEM politicians. The Gazetto is not happy with this honor. They want even higher taxes to pay for the crumbling City roads that Stratton ignored for 8 years.

1, Schenectady-$39.57 per thousand!

2, Rensselaer-$34,33

3. Albany $34.30

4. Scotia $32.57

18.Niskayuna $24.26

20. ROTTERDAM $24.13

Working together works! To wring every nickle out of the sheeple taxpayers and hand it over to millionaire developers.

And those Schenectady cheerleaders like DV are shaking their pom poms cheering saying the city is so wonderful

I wonder on what basis they believe that having the highest taxes is a good thing

And what about that claim that fixing up downtown will result in a better city with lower taxes??????    Hmmm   What have they got to say about that?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

So what? This is a Capital District Regional Planning list. It's total property taxes-and AGAIN Schenectady has the worst taxes in the region. Of course school taxes are part of property taxes-DUH!

Schenectady DEM taxes are over $5 per thousand greater than the second worst City. No contest as to the worst administrated. A little hard to argue when the facts are presented. Why don't you buy some property in the City if things are so wonderful? Right prefer to cheer lead from afar.
