Yeah, Clifton Park is just as dangerous. Ask the democraps. It is a renaissance and a miracle! How great it is these days to live in paradise.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I am surprised that they didn't put the Nattering Nayboobs of Negative in handcuffs during the raid .... the NN'sare a gang of thugs and it is obvious that they have been smoking dope or tripping on something for years (judging by their delirious postings).

No, DV, NOT delirious.  EVERYTHING that has been posted is the TRUTH and has been PROVEN with more than adequate documentation.

So, what proof can YOU provide to substantiate the statements you make????????    Huh???????    Why is it you NEVER NEVER provide ANY proof, via links to websiutes such as government sites, sites like CDPRC, GCAR, etc?

You don't provide any proof because virtually everything YOU write shows YOU are delirious.   I mean, anyone who says that a city which:   has plummeting property values, has about the highest taxes in the whole U.S., has a HUGE increase in crime and violent crime, has such a HUGE gang problem that children are committing suicide over it, a city where people put houses up for sale and they sit unsold after a year.....ANYONE who says that these things are a sign of a city in the midst of being in a renaissance  is most definitely deliriuous.

DV, can yoiu explain HOW you claim the city is in a renaissance when houses sit unsold for over a year?????   How do YOU, DV, claim that the fact that no one wants to buy a house in the city is a sign of the city ihn the midst of a renaissance??????    can you provide you answer to that????   Of course not, as always you WILL AVOID answering the question because you have absolutely no proof whatsoever that the city is getting better.

You STILL have no answerwd WHY you think the people who live in the city with incomes of $30,000 a year should be paying the property taxes of a guy worth $4 BILLION.  Why won't you answer that?????    Huh???????   Because YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THAT IT IS WRONG, TOTALLY WRONG to make poor people pay the proeprty taxes of the billionaire but you are far to embarrased to admit you're wrong.  You just cannot write the words that you are wrong.

Explain how a city with every worsenning roads, to the point where peoples houses are getting damaged, is an indication of a city in the midst of a renaissance.  Explain that DV

And why don't you put your month where your mouth is and move into the city.  You've stated that you used to live in the city.  Well, WHY did you move out to begin with.  Just move back?   Why do you REFUSE to move to the city?????    We all know.  1.  You are unable to live alone as an independent mature adult, and 2, without a job you couldn't get a mortgage, 3, you dont' want to live in a city with decreasing services and nearly the highest taxes in the country, and 4, you too scared, too much of a chicken to move into the city where you might get shot.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Gangs are infiltrating the City, walking anywhere Downtown (other than inside Proctors) is dangerous, a school where it takes two years to figure out that consecutive suicides are related and where the amount of violent crime is increasing every year .... far from enlightening.

It's simply unacceptable that while City homeowners pay such an exorbitant amount of taxes, they are continually subjected to living in one of the most poorly run, dangerous Cities in all of Upstate New York.

You can't have a Renaissance when you're living in the Dark Ages.

Really wish Tigger would get enough sleep before posting. Maybe him and Pooh were up all night brainstorming clever postings....can see that it didn't go well.

I guess things can be boring if you're simply a spectator regarding an issue rather than having a vested interest of the topic at hand.

I think one would want to question why these gangs feel that this is the city to want to open up shop in.   There has to be an unforseen or obvious reason why it is worth the risk to them.   After all if the city was a more secure and feared area they would not entertain this option in the first place.

Vince, I know you just want to bring your melons in, but there is a renaissance going on and you needn't muck things up by asking a lot of questions. Get those melons in and be quiet or Ron Severson will forward your name to the dictator's people for a shakedown.

Mr. Majestyk I think your question about why Schenectady for gangs is a good one. I have long had a theory that the government sponsored transfer of
dependent people (single mothers on welfare) from NYC to Schenectady and other upstate cities has had the most to do with it. These young women didn't just up and decide to move themselves and their kids to a strange place over 100 miles away, they were referred here by NYC social service agencies. I know for a fact that mothers arriving from downstate have been given priority status over native Schenectadians seeking aid such as Section Eighthousing subsidies. This provides a free place to stay for young men with sporadic income and no references to show a landlord.
Another thing gangs need is proximity to people with money because the drug trade is supported by people with good incomes, poor people in areas like Hamilton Hill simply don't have the means, even dishonestly, to make the drug business the hugely profitable enterprise which it is for those at the top of the distribution pyramids.
I think if we tightened up the welfare spigot it would clean things up somewhat. I don't mean cutting off dependent people either, I mean oversight to make sure the money is being used the way it is intended. Yes it is expensive, but living with this kind of squalor has high costs also.

Welfare benefits paid in Schenectady County should be the same as the rest of the state so as not to attract people to settle here strictly for the increased benefits.
